Over-watered tomatoes. Cut them off as soon as you see them and cut back on h2o. Attachments:

I can't keep up with the tomatoes this year. Have had to toss some. Giving them away and its still too much. Just a perfect year for them.

You can use them for about a year after freezing.

Awesome. Last year the damn Septoria blight got me again. At least I think that's what it is. I'll be ready next year.
I've got the garden cleaned and cultivated (best thing I ever bought was that small garden gas "dirt grinder")
Going to use a layer of hay (instead of nothing or grass clippings) and run a soaker hose to keep as much water off the leaves as possible and not kick up spores from the water splashing on the soil.
Damn tomatoes never produced up to their potential because all the leaves died and feel off. No sauce for me this year. Sucks!

Marsh hay is best if you can find it. Old tip from the Victory Garden...

Marsh hay is best if you can find it. Old tip from the Victory Garden... Will keep that in mind. I've heard so many different things and possibilities it's mind boggling. All I know is that it's happened more than once and ruined my summer tomatoes.

Been feeding the birds this year too, the colder it gets the busier the feeders get. Saw a hawk a few days ago, I was too slow getting the camera. I suspect we'll see some birds getting eaten. Lot's of the little bite-sized titmice around.
