So do you take Irving with that first pick? He's the clear #1. Or do you take Derrick Williams 1 and get either Kemba Walker or Brandon Knight at 4?

I know Irving is the clear #1 but the only guys i really like at 4 are the PG's.

Was it our pick #4 and LA's #1?
That's the way ESPN.com made it seem.

I know Irving is the clear #1 but the only guys i really like at 4 are the PG's. I bet they take a foreigner at 4. I'm not sure Williams has a clear cut position at the next level. Is he a SF or a PF? He seems like a tweener. I still think Kemba is gonna be a great pro. Move him to SG and take both.

It's definately gonna be Irving. At 4 though? I like Enes Kantor or Kemba Walker (who really reminds me of Iverson with his game)

I really don't want 2 guards in the 1st 4 picks. My guess is Williams at #1 because at #4 you'll still have quality PGs available. Irving looks like the favorite fort #1, BUT that foot injury is a flag & you have to look at who may still be available at #4. As far as center goes, I question whether or not Kanter has the athleticism to excel in the NBA. There will be tons of speculation, but we'll see what happens. Mike

What I know about Kanter is that he schooled Val when those two went head to head last year. I'm not a fan of picking guys that sit a year but talentwise Kanter is probably #2 as far as fit for the Cavs.
As far as Irving, I think it's night and day between him and the second tier. I would take him over John Wall if they were both available together.

so the more I look/read about stuff it seems like Irving is the man at #1.
Kanter is intriguing for sure. He let's Hickson slide out to the 4 and that is helpful for him. But that really leaves us with no quality 2 or 3 to actually shoot. Or am I forgetting someone? I suppose snipers aren't that hard to find, just a one dimensional guy that can fire it from 18-20 feet out.

If we take Irving and Kanter you can slide Davis out to the 2. He can score and defend most 2's in the league. Scott likes playing 2 PG's at the same time.

Does Gibson have any chance of being a starter in this league - like learning the 2 from Davis for a year - or is he strictly a backup at this point. Hickson/Kanter front court sounds pretty nice. I read the Cavs have a salary cap exemption from losing LeBron so we could get a player for nothing from a team looking to dump salary but it could cause cap issues later on.

I also read that Minny might be interested in trading their #2 for vets. I don't think we have the ammo to do it ourselves but with the TPE and a third team I wonder if they could work it out to get 1,2,and 4. That would be insane.

I like Boobie and he is a guy you want on a playoff team but I don't think he's a starter.

I was wondering if we even want two picks in this class. Wonder if we take Irving and Knight is still there at 4 someone might want to grab him.

With all the talk about a weak draft does it matter when you are picking 1 and 4?
