I'd take Heckert back, if we have to pull a Mike Brown style redo.

Good thing they added the new bridge on the left. That old one on the right looks a little rickety.

Good thing they added the new bridge on the left. That old one on the right looks a little rickety. Actually they're talking about bringing in a board expert next time. Analytically they believe they have enough boards but might need someone who can identify barely serviceable boards from great ones.

Sounds like the rumor was false. Although it also sounded like Sashi was done with RG3 and Hue wasn't so maybe not all is well there.

www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000768658/article/bengals-qb-aj-mccarron-ready-for-offseason-trade?campaign=tw-nf-sf49182787-sf49182787Bengals QB AJ McCarron ready for offseason tradeTony Romo and Jimmy Garoppolo will have company on the quarterback trade market this offseason. Bengals backup signal-caller AJ McCarron said his goodbyes Monday "just in case" 2016 is his final season in Cincinnati. Per The Cincinnati Enquirer, McCarron said he "definitely wouldn't be distraught at all" to be traded in the coming months. "Like I told Marvin (Lewis) and all my coaches in my exit meetings, I appreciate everybody in this organization," McCarron continued. "I really do. From the bottom of my heart. They gave me a chance when a lot of people wouldn't. "They all treated me unbelievably and I really do care for every one of 'em and respect all 'em. This place will always have a special place in my heart just for what they've done for me. I really appreciated it." McCarron made it clear that he's ready to move on to the next chapter of his life as a starting quarterback, stating "I want a chance to play." A trade is already baked into the team's "offseason itinerary," according to The Enquirer's Paul Dehner, who added that it's simply a "matter of when, where and who will provide the most value." The Bengals were reluctant to deal McCarron last offseason, Lewis explained at the time, "because he's exactly what we look for to be a replacement quarterback if we needed it." That mindset made sense when McCarron still had two years remaining on a team-friendly rookie contract. Now that the 2014 fifth-round draft pick is entering a contract season, the Bengals seem intent on exploring the market to gauge his value. Before the former Alabama star ever took an NFL snap, Cincinnati's coaching staff arrived at the belief that he was "fully capable of becoming a starting-quality player." McCarron posted a 63.8 completion percentage at 6.7 yards per attempt for a 89.7 passer rating in four starts as Andy Dalton's stand-in late in the 2015 season. Although he showed initial promise under then-play caller Hue Jackson, he failed to convert a single third down in the regular-season finale and was shut out for three quarters in the rain as the Bengals lost a memorable playoff bout with the Steelers. If McCarron is indeed shopped around the league, a reunion with Jackson would seem to be the most likely scenario. Cleveland's coach maintains a close relationship with Lewis and other members of Cincinnati's front office. The Browns have stockpiled 11 picks in the 2017 NFL Draft, providing plenty of ammo in trade talks. Perhaps most importantly, McCarron spent two years mastering Jackson's offense. After overseeing a parade of mistake-prone quarterbacks in his debut season, Jackson might just view McCarron as a competent bridge to the next franchise savior under center.

Just what we need, a QB that can't beat out Dalton.

McCarron started the Bengals' drive off with two completions to Hill for 24 total yards. Later on, he converted a 3rd-and-9 with an 18-yard completion to tight end Tyler Eifert, and eventually the Bengals got close enough for Mike Nugent to kick a 36-yard field goal, making the score 15–10 with 5:17 left.
The Steelers had to punt after three plays on their ensuing possession, and Adam Jones' 24-yard return gave the Bengals the ball on the Pittsburgh 45-yard line. McCarron soon faced a 4th-and-2 situation, but converted with a 9-yard completion to Marvin Jones. Then when faced with 3rd-and-7, he launched a 25-yard touchdown pass to Green. After their two-point conversion failed, the Bengals held a 16–15 lead with 1:45 left.
On the first play after the kickoff, Landry Jones threw an interception to Burfict on the Steelers' 26-yard line. He celebrated by running all the way through the tunnel. But with the game now seemingly in the Bengals' control, they gave the ball right back on the next play when Shazier forced a fumble from Hill that was recovered by defensive back Ross Cockrell.
Now with the ball on his own 11-yard line with 1:23 left, Roethlisberger returned to lead his team 74 yards in nine plays for the game-winning score. After several short completions moved the ball to the 37-yard line, Pittsburgh faced a 4th-and-3, but overcame it on Brown's 12-yard reception.
On the next play, with just 22 seconds left, Roethlisberger threw a pass intended for Brown. The pass was incomplete, but Burfict was flagged for a personal foul for contact with Brown's helmet. Brown was injured on the play, and as he was being attended and officials were dealing with both teams, Adam Jones was flagged for a personal foul after an altercation with Steelers linebackers coach Joey Porter, giving the Steelers another 15 yards and moving the ball to the Bengals' 17-yard line.
On the next play, Boswell kicked a 35-yard field goal with 18 seconds left to win the game.

Plus, what do I know. I was in love with a guy that isn't even in the NFL anymore that year. Oh wait, that's you.
