Yeah, yeah, yeah he had a shoulder problem -- but when the DC extols the virtue of a street FA over a top 10 draft pick -- he's a goner.

That's how I would rate the level of 1st round busts since the return. 1 being a great pick. 10 being as big of a bust as it gets. This is all off memory, no stats used.
Overall it's pretty much horrendous but Mingo isn't even close to the worst pick.

There must be a glitch in my app. It's showing me things I posted two years ago under Javvy's name.

Actually considering they moved up for Trich I would rate him a bust level 12.
I still have hopes for Gilbert.

Using the same scale I'd go:
Tim Couch - 6 Courtney Brown - 6 Gerard Warren - 5 William Green - 8 Jeff Faine - 3 Kellen Winslow - 4 Braylon Edwards - 5 Kamerion Wimbley - 3 Joe Thomas - 1 Brady Quinn - 9 Alex Mack - 1 Joe Haden - 1 Phil Taylor - 3 Trent Richardson - 10 Brandon Weeden - 9 Barkevious Mingo - 5 Justin Gilbert - 6 Johnny Manziel - 10

Biggest area of disagreement between me and Tommy is Jeff Faine.
He had a ten year career in the league. Made one Pro Bowl (as an alternate) after leaving the Browns. He was pretty much always a starter. He was a pretty good player.
And TRich and Manziel are the only two to get tens from me. They're the only ones who clearly and quickly showed that the didn't even belong in the league as backups. Weeden sucks, but he'll still be cashing an NFL paycheck for a few years after Manziel.

Wimbley had 11 sacks as a rookie until they changed defenses. Warren, Wimbley & Faine went on to other teams and had careers unlike most. Couch was a glamor pick IMO. Golden haired boy to be the face of the franchise but no supporting cast.

Season can't start soon enough. Even though we still don't have a QB I'm anxious to see the new shiny additions.

I don't think any of the OSU QBs have a chance at the next level. Cardale would probably have the best chance, although it's very unlikely. Only at OSU does the 3rd string QB become a first round draft pick. All of these guys are a product of Urban's system right now. Cardale has to show he can start at OSU before we talk draft picks
"Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS." Cardale Jones
Even if most athletes feel this way.

No chance he's a top ten pick. Reports are he's back to his lazy self which cause him to be third string. He's got a better chance of becoming the next Jamarcus Russell, if he wasn't a first round pick.
