I am not trading Gordon. He is the best player on the offense and the spark that we need. It's not easy to come across a #1 receiver just like it's not easy to come across a franchise QB. I don't see letting go of one for the other (maybe) as a good idea. We know what we have with Josh. Well it comes with a caveat. Think about it, if the Browns are trading for Mallett they are buying that he can be their franchise QB. I kind of trust their eyes right now. I mean they saw something in Hoyer. Do you think they knew what they had in Hoyer or do you think they got lucky and were just as surprised as us? Sure, Lombardi had a boner for Hoyer but i don't know that anybody else did. Think about it, why would he only get a shot if Weeden got hurt? If they were that smart and knew they had King Hoyer sitting there, don't you think he would of been the starter from the beginning?

Diz, there was a gleam. But no they probably didn't think he was going to spark this team like he did.

I think it was less on seeing what Hoyer had and more being fooled by Weeden & the hope of what he could become. We all see the tools he has. Think back to the preseason, Weeden actually looked good at times. Once defenses started mixing it up, the dufus got beyond confused and regressed. He has no confidence right now. What Hoyer was doing was not brain surgery. He read the D and got rid of the ball quick. That's all. It looked great because of what we are seeing with Weeden. Is Hoyer the franchise? Probably not. I still think he could be a nice bridge to that guy though. I don't think they would have ever signed Campbell had Hoyer been available earlier. And if he was here earlier maybe he would have had an even better shot at winning the job in camp. But I still blame it on Weeden's regression.

Exactly. Weeden looked very good those first few preseason games, we were all excited. Let's not revise history. Once things went from vanilla to complex he sucked. The guy just can't read the game. End of story.

Not up to my standards, but very, very, very good.

Josh Gordon's production yesterday significantly increased his trade value -- Banner will hold out for a 1rst rounder (low) or a 2nd rounder and a guy. Either way -- good riddance.

marykaycabot: Cleveland Browns' Jordan Gordon drew several good trade offers, but none good enough for a top-five wideout t.co/4GNFtCUoVkAttachments:

Her questions are always so awful. They are just softballs where you force the person to give a crap answer.
"So does it feel good to still be a Cleveland Brown?"
