He interviewed to be the Rockies manager, then the hitting coach. So, I'd say his 42 year old heart is really into playing. Typical tribe move

Tribe signed Michael Bourn. Great offseason continues. Deal could be as much as $60 million.

This is a great move. Bourne is a fantastic defensive CF with tremendous range. He was second in the NL in defensive WAR last year. He's also a 2-time gold glove winner.
Also, he was an All-star last year.

Obviously they could move Swisher to 1b, but I don;t forsee that happening.

yah yah Mark Reynolds, forgot about him. Who's DH'ing? I do think Swisher will see a lot of time at first though, the best lineup is with him, reynolds, stubbs, bourne and brantley all in the game. I don't know if that means Reynolds DH'ing but i like the idea of having the speed of Bourne, Stubbs and Brantley in the outfield.

Lets face it, the bats look better now than they have in a long time. Our defense will probably show to be below average but my biggest concern is starting pitching.

If no more trades happen its Brantley, Bourn & Stubbs in the OF. Swisher or Reynolds primarily at 1B while the other is at DH/RF/3B. That's a damn fast OF. But they might be looking to move a OF for a SP.

Otherwise I think it's Swisher at 1B and Reynolds comes in late as a defensive replacement.

I'm not too high on Chisenhall to say Reynolds couldn't move to 3rd. I think DH will be for whoever needs a day off between Swisher and Santana.

bourn's $48M deal (that can hit $60M) is largest FA guarantee for player who never hit 10 HRs (or slugged .400) in any year

That OF is going to shave runs off the pitching staff.

I wonder what would happen if a team was built on speed and timely hitting as opposed to power?
