If we go Porter I think that means Gilbert's playoff talk is rattling Grant.

I'm sticking with Porter.
He is a damn good athlete with great size and fills our biggest positional need.

www.waitingfornextyear.com/2013/06/nba-news-draft-rumors-trailblazers-reject-cavaliers-offer-for-lamarcus-aldridge/The Portland Trailblazers have reportedly rejected an offer from the Cleveland Cavaliers that would have sent All-Star power forward LaMarcus Aldridge to Cleveland. ESPN’s Marc Stein and Chad Ford collectively report that Cavaliers general manager Chris Grant offered both of his first-round selections (Nos. 1 and 19) for Aldridge. This report corroborates previous reports that the Cavaliers have not only tried to trade the first-overall selection for a veteran, but have a desire to acquire the Portland forward. In prior reports, the Cavaliers had spoken to the Trailblazers while including a package that included power forward Tristan Thompson and shooting guard Dion Waiters. The Cavaliers have reportedly received calls regarding their No. 1 selection, potentially including a recently reported interest in Chicago Bulls small forward Luol Deng. Ford reports that the Trailblazers have been the most aggressive in trying to obtain the No. 1 pick, but, as reported by FOX Sports Ohio’s Sam Amico, the Cavaliers will not move it without receiving a hefty sum in return. Aldridge, 27, is coming off of his third-consecutive season of at least 21 points and eight rebounds per contest and possesses a very efficient game. He is due to make over $30 million over the next two seasons, a contract that would tie up some of the team’s salary cap space into the 2015-16 season.

I believe the rumors that they'll go Alex Len.
which I think is a mistake - I think they should take Porter and use 19 for a developmental 7 footer like Gobert or Olynyk but Withey might be the best bet given that he played four years in college and I think that goes far for a developmental guy.

Whatever they do, it will probably be a mistake and/or won't help the team much. This is a bad year to be number one, unfortunately.

This is a bad year to be number one, unfortunately. that's why they need to take the safe route - take the solid complimentary player at a position of need and use two of the remaining three picks on developmental 7 footers.

Why not just pick the BPA who can score? Because of Kyrie & Waiters? Please.

Good defense creates points. Like when Mike Brown was here last time? 4 guys watching one guy dribble?

It's not my fucking philosophy.
McLemore scares me. He can shoot but i don't like anything else about him. He has a shitty work ethic and a bad attitude. If he's still in the league in 3 years, he's probably going to want out of Cleveland and that is a wasted pick in my opinion.
Otto Porter can score, he can defend and he doesn't have trouble following him around. Otto can start day 1 and make a difference.
Anderson Triston Porter Dion Kyrie
If they draft McLemore they'll have their best shooter coming off the bench?
I could see if McLemore was a true #1 pick but he's not, nobody is in this draft so i prefer to go with the guy that fits in with this team, makes the starting lineup better, and isn't a liability.

6'4" 213 pound shooting guard known for his defense.
Oladipo ranks second amongst all players in the Top 100 Rankings in steals per forty minutes
Oladipo's intrigue as an NBA prospect starts with his abilities as a perimeter defender
ability to guard up to four positions at the college level

Anyone not like trading 19 to the Rockets for Thomas Robinson? is he any better than Thompson? Doesn't seem to be. I'd rather take a developmental C there.
