Kyrie Irving is one special point guard. In addition to his play, he elevates the play of his teammates & that is something lbj wasn't able to do. It's great to watch a cohesive, energetic TEAM play basketball. Granted, we still need some pieces, but the Cavs are actually playing much better than they look on paper & I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Ol' Dad

I hope so. 7 years of LeFuckface was apparently a big fucking waste of time. Every time I see him I think: "Awesome, the tallest pimp in fucking Akron went raw into his bottom bitch one night and we all wasted a bunch of money because of it."
Go Kyrie!

Is there any chance these guys could sneak in as an 8 seed and knock off the Heat? Could you imagine that?*
*I realize once they trade half their roster that will likely kill any chance of this happening.

Wouldn't it be great if Magic raped LeBron and gave him AIDS?

Looks like they won again today. 6-6 now on the season. Not too shitty. Another good game from Irving.

They aren't making the playoffs. Schedule is brutal the next two months, and do you really think Boston keeps playing this shitty?

What is crazy, is that if the playoffs started today, Miami would be the 6 seed and would have to go to Orlando.

What's funny is that the Cavs & Clippers dramatically upgraded their point guards which made a far greater positive change than Miami's addition of lbj did. Kyrie Irving continues his progress, but his hang time & body control are through the roof! I am amazed at how quickly he is learning. Hats off to him, Byron Scott & Staff. Mike

If you think about the amount of games Kyrie played last year and the lack of a off season this year and a lack of preseason games this year, this kid looks like he could be special.

They'd be a lot more gun to watch if their uniforms didn't look like 1970's Marvel villains.

RG3 would be to the Browns Closest thing in sport to a franchise QB is a franchise PG Same argument as last June: better to take the best player possible (Kyrie) than take Derrick Williams and a G at 4 Better to do whatever it takes to land RG3 then take chances at staying at 4... because the Redskins and or Dolphis will be calling the Rams, IMO **Now I hijaked a basketball discussion threat to further promote RG3. A new low

Best ACC point guard product since Chris Paul and a better driver and scorer than Paul at this point in his career. He's not a Rose-level athlete but he's a more skilled player. I think he his a high floor and lower ceiling than Rose. But he's still an All-Star caliber PG.

Take away Phil Jackson led teams, and tell me what team win a championship without an All-Star PG. The triangle was the exception to the rule.

Who have been the top pg's over the past 15 years.
Stockton - 0 Nash - 0 Kidd - 1 Rondo - 1 Rose - 0 Deron Williams - 0 Chris Paul - 0 Iverson - 0 Gary Payton - 1
I know that's not all of them, those are off the top of my head.
And don't get me wrong, i am excited about Kyrie. Just bringing up a question.

Isaih Thomas has 2 Magic Johnson has 5
The NBA isn't like the NFL the style of play is dictated by personel. If you have players that good they can win. but yes the general consensus is that PG don't win championships. I just think that's a fluke because it's great players that win regardless of position we just haven't seen a championship caliber PG on a championship caliber team in a while

Tony Parker: 4
The numbers are hard to say because of the triangle, but look at how many of those PG's have played in the finals. But yeah when Kobe and Jordan have 11 of the last 21 titles, it does back up your argument.

But yeah when Kobe and Jordan have 11 of the last 21 titles, it does back up your argument. Do you consider Tony Parker an elite player? I'd say the he was a role player on Tim Duncans team. Go back to the original question, i said best player on the team.
