Is your hatred for Lebron that blind that you can honestly not see he cost this city the cavs. Since the day he got here he put Lebron before any and everything and not what's best for the franchise. He left Lebron pussy foot and never got a straight answer out of him. First off after a year or two if Lebron isn't going to tell you his intentions it's time to wake up and and at least begin to move forward. Ferry was under orders from GIlbert which led to him resigning.
What did LA do when Kobe cried about leaving. They stood their ground. Bending over backwards and then crying when you get fucked is not how to run a professional sport. This is what happens when you do that. YOU GET BEAT BY 55 FUCKING POINTS!!!!! The man doesn't know a thing about running an NBA team. We are so fucked because of him.

Maj do you think they should have called LBJ's bluff and traded him?

I was discussing this with my heat fan buddy this weekend. Putting aside the fact that LeBron completely fucked the city of Cleveland over, the Cavs should had given him an ultimatum to sign an extension before last season or be traded. You simply cannot risk having an asset like that leave and get nothing for him. I know it would've been unpopular, but I guarantee the Cavs could've gotten a Derrick Rose -type player for him. They could've just said we didn;t think he was going to resign so we had to trade him.

bobby the return they would've gotten for him would've been sick. A couple #1's plus a mid player and a stud. Stuff like Amare, Barbosa and a couple 1's

I know. As big an asshole as LeBron is for leaving the Cavs holding their dicks in their hands with the decision, Ferry and Company should've knew this guy can't be relied on. It's like being on that Deal or No Deal show, having $500k in the bank and risking it all for that $700k suitcase.

Lebron was the franchise. Gilbert knew it. It was a gamble he had to take.

Lebron was the franchise. Gilbert knew it. It was a gamble he had to take. How did that gamble pay off. To me, it's simple. If LeBron didn't have his mind made up by that offseason, he would've been as good as gone.

What I'm saying is even they trade him for all the talent in the world, Gilbert still lost millions upon millions of dollars. The Cavs were relevant because of that prick. They will never rebound from losing him. Whether it was trading him, or watching him walk. When you have one of the best players in the game, who is supposed to be a hometown talent, not want to stay with a team that led the league in wins and could pay you more money, it pretty much sends the entire league a message. The franchise was done.
They might as well move to the team to Mexico City right now. And I'd be fine with that. The NBA is dead to me.
I think that's how Lebron wanted it too. He wanted "The Decision" to be the end of the franchise. And it likely was. Cleveland can't support three teams much longer. Let the NBA leave. Fuck that league.

I don't agree that they won't recover. Jared Sallinger, OH boy, not a prick like a said in a earlier post a shorter Tim Duncan. If we get him I think we are relevant faster than we were with LeQuit.

Looks like we will have the #1 pick in the league next year, and I think LeFuckface is forcing the NBA to install some sort of Franchise player system like football has to make sure this shit never happens again.
