I think the Browns have done an excellent job at acquiring non-skill position players. Love the new D-linemen. Love Coleman at RT. Love McCourty. Brien Boddy Calhoun. The OL is solid -- we really don't miss Joe Thomas THAT much. With Gordon the Browns WRs are way above average -- and Njoku is explosive. Coleman will be exceptional when we get a QB that can accurately deliver the football. I think they have the core of a playoff team once we get the QB, one more WR, one more LB, and a new ST coach.

That TD pass that bounced right off Coleman’s chest last week looked pretty accurate.

I saw a compilation of the 7 passes to Gordon that were not caught. One was excellent defense but the rest were either over or under thrown. It may be due to lack of timing and practice together so we should see in time.

Yeah. Kizer’s accuracy issues were definitely laid bare yesterday. We’ll see if he can dial things in a bit over the next few weeks.
Though his accuracy was a problem, I thought his decision making yesterday was excellent. He knew where to go. Execution just needs to be more precise. But he was finding the right man.

Also his pocket awareness looks shabby. He seems to rush a throw when he has time to set up then thinks he's got all the time in the world but the pocket is collapsing.

He’s still just 21. He’s younger than Baker Mayfield. I’m willing to give him some leeway on his footwork. At least until he has another offseason under his belt.

I still have to lean towards drafting the top QB. If both panned out and you are stuck with a similar Brees/Rivers problem, it's not a bad thing.

Agreed. Gotta take that top QB.
Then you hope the Texans suck enough to get you the top WR, RB, or DB. In that order of need.

Also need LB and DB but right now it has to be QB. If and it's a huge if, if Gordon stays clean and Coleman could stay healthy our WR corps is better than expected. Still need another though. RB has me scratching my head. Both Crow and Duke have shown flashes. Is it them or scheme?

Probably true but I'm still scratching my head. Obviously Hue doesn't believe in running the ball or gives up on it all the time. Both Duke and Crow have have shown flashes and then look like crap. Not sure if it's them or the scheme. I'd really wish they would play Dayes some besides returning.

Hue could have Jim Brown, Walter Payton and Bo Jackson in their prime and they probably wouldn't 15 carries combined.

Could you guys believe how wide open the WRs were in the 1st half -- and how Kizer hit them? Also, Kizer, for the most part, has been healthy all year. Previous QBs would have been on the IR -- McCown, that USC kid, and going back to Opie McCoy. Kizer is sturdy. Big win!
Kenny Britt gone is a big win! A team can have one knucklehead -- and that's Josh Gordon.
Corey Coleman is at LEAST a #2 --- flashes of a #1.
If Crowell wouldn't duck his head and lead forward at first contact he'd be one of the best RBs in the league.
If the season would end today we'd have 4 picks in the top 37 in the 2018 draft. Thank you, Sashi!

Kizer will at best be QB3 next year. Dorsey will trade/sign a vet (Alex Smith/Case Keenum) and draft one high. Kizer will be there to compete but, well you know.

I saw a stat on twitter from the NFL stats account I believe. The Browns lead the league in pass attempts over 20 yards this season season so far with 79. I thought that was stupid with a rookie quarterback but Houston was second with 75.

More positive news! Mitchell Schwartz and Alex Mack were the only former Browns named to the 2018 ALL PRO team. Conversely, we still have $100mm of cap space! Winning!

There's not enough money for someone who truely wanted out True regarding Mack but I think Schwartz tested the market and the Browns had the highest offer but pulled it after he didn't initially agree. Something like that.
