Results have been tabulated, and are ready to be revealed! HUZZAH! HUZZAH! HUZZAH!
As a group we made a slight improvement on our performance from last year; our average score rose from 2.7 PPW (points per week) to 2.76 PPW. You guys are getting smarter, or my Over/Unders are getting dumber. This bump could also be due to Javvy not participating. He just didn't have time this year; he had to keep his nose to the grindstone making money to give to the Browns so they can pay Chris Tabor's salary.
Results are tabulated the same as last year: players who tied for a win are each given full credit for the victory, and PPW averages are rounded to the nearest tenth of a point. The 2016 season stats of our 6 players, in ascending order:
6: BttB. Oof, rough year. With just 1 week won and 2.3 PPW BttB fell well short of his 3rd place 2015 season.
5: TOMMY. After a legendary powerhouse record setting 2015 Tommy must have had quite the championship hangover. Tommy won only 1 week, and only squeaks out a 2.5 PPW score thanks to rounding rules - otherwise he'd be worse than a coin flip.
4: PHENOM. An improvement on last year, but still a far cry from his Championship run in 2014. Phenom won 2 weeks, and averaged 2.7 PPW. He also came in last place just 2 weeks, which is the fewest number of any of us in that category. He missed some chances to improve his position, as he only played 10 weeks, the fewest of any of us.
3: DIZZ. It was the best of seasons, it was the worst of seasons. Dizz won 6 weeks, but came in dead last 7 times - like Crowell, this guy was feast or famine. Dizz scored 2.7 PPW (the fact he played 6 more weeks than Phenom is what gets him ranked higher). He also had a perfect 5 score this year. Well done Dizz, and congrats on your first trip to the podium!
2: VOODOO. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. This is the second year in a row that Voodoo finished in second place. He had one perfect 5, won five weeks, and had a very strong 2.8 PPW score. A very slight decline in every category from last season for him personally, but still good enough to be better than all of you.
1: FLATS. What can I say? I'm a fucking natural. I demolished you this year. I'm a humble fellow, but the facts are the facts. I had two perfect 5 weeks - tying the single season record. I won 11 weeks, setting a new single season record. And I had a TOWERING 3.4 PPW, also a new season record (Tommy is the only other person to ever crack the fabled "3 Barrier," scoring 3.1 last season). The 0.6 difference between me and 2nd place this year is larger than the difference between 2nd place and last place. I didn't just break records, I'm redefining the sport. So all you 6'3" white power forwards with your flat top haircuts and your Converse All-Star sneakers better hit the gym this offseason, because Wilt Chamberlain just got on the scene, and he isn't going away anytime soon.
