Also flats, in today's NFL if you have a guy that doesn't do all that much but busts one or two that's enough. The problem is the Browns don't have the passing game to make teams fearful. If they did those short gains over & over become more like 4 or 5 yard gains.

This raises a question. Suppose Kirk Cousins made it to free agency. Would anything stop us from offering him a 5 year $100M deal, with the first year being $80M then $5M a year after that?

He isn't an average QB making like $18 million a year over the next four years. Silly comparison.

I will be honest I would love Cousins even if we paid him a shit ton. I liked him coming out, I like his fire & he speeds up the process. I just don't buy that the Redskins aren't keeping him.

If Cousins is so great why does Washington want to get rid of him?

The way you guys are talking I have said multiple times I don't buy that the Redskins aren't keeping him. Yesterday the owner and HC said he's their QB. They obviously aren't in agreement on the dollar amount yet he'll be in Washington next year.

I think where I sit today: I want a QB at 33 or 52. Let him try to beat out Kessler. Hogan is 3rd string. McCown is a coach. RG3 is bagging groceries.

Ruiter
Washington president Bruce Allen said on @siriusxmnfl today that on scale of 1-10, it's a 10 that Kirk Cousins returns as QB in 2017

Are those true free agents? It doesn't designate whether restricted or not.

Here, this is a better site. It breaks it down by type of free agent, you can pick position, puts them in order of dollar value, provides market value, etc: www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/

Nice find. I'll be looking through it eventually but like you said this group may not be high on free agency. I don't want them putting us in cap hell but they need to fill some holes with proven talent and not completely rely on the draft and hope the later picks pan out.
They have to hit on the early ones, just have to.

Trade for AJ McCarron, Jimmy G, and draft the 5'11" tall Mitch.

There are rumors floating around that he is 3" shorter than listed.

Guess we'll find out at the combine. Haven't seen him play much and never paid attention to his height.
