I blew that Jalen Mills pick. Chose him because he was far and away the highest rated defender left on this Fanspeak board and it was a position of need. Reading up on him on Walter he sounds like a shit for brains bust.

They've said multiple times that they don't have the qb's rated that high. Nobody has listened.

Well I hate to be the franchise savior, but here I am.
This would turn this team around in a heartbeat, and its not the way I would have envisioned it going:
8: R1P8 S JALEN RAMSEY FLORIDA STATE
32: R2P1 OLB LEONARD FLOYD GEORGIA
65: R3P2 DT CHRIS JONES MISSISSIPPI STATE
77: R3P14 OLB JOSHUA PERRY OHIO STATE
99: R4P1 WR PHAROH COOPER SOUTH CAROLINA
100: R4P2 QB CHRISTIAN HACKENBERG PENN STATE
138: R4P40 CB CYRUS JONES ALABAMA
141: R5P2 G REES ODHIAMBO BOISE STATE
172: R5P33 CB ERIC MURRAY MINNESOTA
173: R5P34 DT ANTWAUN WOODS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
176: R6P1 QB CARDALE JONES OHIO STATE
223: R7P2 DE ALEX MCCALISTER FLORIDA
We'd end up with perhaps the best player in the draft at 8 in Jalen Ramsey. A total ball hawk. Leonard Floyd is insane value at 32. Chris Jones is a big ugly to help the DL out, plus it makes Voodoo stop shaking for a minute. Joshua Perry? More insane value. That D just went from limp to rock solid.
Then we addressed the offense. A burner who can lineup anywhere in Pharoh Cooper (sounds like a fucking horse). Then the QB project. Yeah Hackenberg was a mess without O'Brien but Hue is going to take him under his wing and teach him how to get back to who is was a couple years ago. Let's not forget this kid was in line to be a top pick at one point. He'll be the 3rd string this year.
In Cyrus Jones you get a starting caliber CB in the 4th. We got a versatile OL in Rees Odhiambo & depth at CB & DT in Eric Murray & Antwaun Woods.
In the 6th I wanted to make flats happy so we took Cardale Jones. Why not this late? He will sit on the practice squad this year and learn under Hue and Pep. Finally topped it off with a value DE in Alex McCalister.
Ladies and Gentlemen, the Browns are back. You're welcome.

If its insane value at a pick, someone else will pick them first. Good fucking lord, just when I thought you were off Cardale Jones' jock you draft him anyway.

I honestly don't think Lynch is a target. If they legit wanted a QB they should have stayed and taken the guy they wanted - I believe the plan is to with Josh, RGIII, and possibly pick someone up that gets cut. I also still think Jackson is calling the Bengals for McKarron. I think Zeke is a target - I think it's similar to the Rams and Gurley last year, he would take an enormous amount of pressure off a RGIII or a guy we draft late or next year. Let's not forget how cocky NFL coaches are - they probably see a lot more talent on the roster than we do and think they can coach some of these recent draft picks up - Irving, Shelton, Orchard specifically. What if they are like a few of us are & think Lynch & Wentz are about equal & both projects. It's a brilliant move if so. Aren't you the guy that in the past has said, especially about QBs, that you don't dick around trying to get value, you take the guy you want? If they have Lynch and Wentz equal, other teams do as well (or something is amiss). You already have Dallas and San Fran in front of you, who could go QB - longshot, but could, plus other teams like the Jets that might jump in 3-6 thinking SF or we could take Lynch. I don't think they're taking a QB before rd 3 this year. Maybe trading back into the late second if someone they like is there, but I fully anticipate the QBs to be McKown, RGIII, and someone's camp cut young vet

One thing the simulator site makes pretty clear the more you play with it, there's a lot of value early in this draft on the defensive side. I try to target a QB or WR at 32, but there's always some stud defender at a position of need that's fallen there that I can't pass up.

Because they are smart and went to Harvard. I don't honestly think they'll go Lynch at 8. I think they'll go BPA or trade out and they'll take a QB somewhere in the middle of this draft. But if took Lynch, I wouldn't be pissed. I'll be shocked if they go Elliott at 8. I just can't see taking a RB when this team is so far away. But I like Zeke so I'd be good.

I wonder if what analytics really are is they all just sit in a room and play with this simulator over and over. "we'll get a good defender at 32"
