He's still just 25 years old. He's kept his shit together in Washington this year under what could have become very bad circumstances. He's kept in shape by all accounts. He'll never quite have the elite wheels he once did, but he's still more mobile than most and he's got prototype size and arm talent. That rookie year was incredible, and I'm not sure we've ever seen him healthy on the field since.
Separate from the question above, Browns fans look back at the Griffin trade and mostly consider it a bullet dodged. But the fact is Washington has made the playoffs twice in the four years since that deal (26-38, 41% wins), and we have made it zero times over that span (19-45, 30% wins). With the draft picks we didn't give up by trading for RGIII we selected TRich, Weeden and Mingo. We then traded TRich and a third round pick to get Johnny Manziel. RGIII's been a disappointment for Washington, but I'm not sure anyone would trade you RGIII for that bunch of players we got instead.

First off, just about everyone in this forum hates RG3. So keep that in mind.
I obviously am not one of them. However, I can't say Cleveland is the right spot for him. I really think what he needs is a team where he can sit for a couple years behind a legit vet and learn to be more of a pocket passer. He can be as he has the arm to make every throw possible. He basically needs to learn how to go through progressions rather than taking off and getting hit.
Teams that I could see as ideal situations:
1. Backup in New Orleans 2. Backup in Dallas 3. Backup in Arizona 4. Backup in San Diego 5. Backup in NY Giants

I think RGIII is basically Ricky Williams. Otherworldly talent, who just doesn't fit NFL culture (very possibly because they are both too smart to fit into NFL culture). Williams was able to come back from his extended sabbatical (between the ages of 27 and 30 he only played in 13 NFL games) and play well and make good money, get his 10K yards, all in all a good career - but obviously he never achieved the HOF level of professional success of which he was capable. I think RGIII is more than capable of coming back and having some really great seasons. I also think he's capable of walking away from the game at any moment.

I think that's the most likely scenario by a good margin. I don't believe that franchise has serious interest in Billy Schmanziel.

He could backup Brees this year, maybe they tag Brees once and go to RG3 in 2 years. In the dome with Payton? Brees turns 37 this week and is only signed through 2016.

New Poll:
If you were Dallas and you had to sign one, which would it be:
RG3 Johnny
And why.

Jerry Jones will hedge his bet and bring them both in.
RGIII by far. He's not an imbecile.

I know Jerry Jones is crazy but if both were available he'd probably go with RG3.
