"There you go." Like a TE and his four td's are gonna give us an entertaining offense. The way they are building this offense, I think the TE is going to be more influential than the WRs. Dray and Barnidge combined for 52 targets last year and Cameron had 48. Having a stud at the position would certainly help.

12. Randy Gregory, OLB Nebraska - would love Fowler, but he's going to be the first pass rusher taken. And before you say anything about me wanting to draft D, unlike QBs (though I did call for Derek Carr last year), how upset would any of you be if we had Khlil Mack, Anthony Barr, Ryan Kerrigan, Robert Quinn, or Whitney Mercilus. Yes Mingo has underperformed, but he's actually better than most of our picks have been. 19. Maxx Williams, TE Minn - there you go. 43. Bryce Petty - might be a little high for him, but I think you take him here. Grayson or Hundley maybe, but man Petty has the arm to throw in the North all year long. Do it right this time and just let Hoyer play for the whole year or two. They better make a lot of noise in free agency if they go your route mikey. and what route wouldn't require a lot of noise in FA?

Drafting some combo of DL, OL and possibly a WR instead of OLB, TE & QB. If they are going to be a ball possession team they better be able to run the ball, stop the run & convert on 3rd downs.

I can't argue that TE won't be important but I'm not sure this kid is going to be that special. And I don't know how much we can go off of our WR's stats last year with who they were.

If they are going to be a ball possession team they better be able to run the ball, stop the run & convert on 3rd downs. I can't see them making another high investment on the OL. DL is certainly a possibility but I see it being addressed a litle later on, like 3rd or 4th round. Or it might be the first pick, it's going to depend on who's there, but I think at 12 the pass rusher is going to bring more value than the run stuffer. Don't forget, we're likely to lose Sheard leaving us with Mingo and Kruger. I guess it's really gonna depend on what the new offensive system is like regarding the importance of the TE - but if Cameron does leave, and I expect him too, we are gonna have to address the position somehow. One FA WR I am keeping my eye on, not a world beater by any means, is Leonard Hankerson. He doesn't have great hands, but he is a great route runner and a great blocker. I think pairing him with a guy like Hawkins would make a nice duo. This WR draft is deep as well.

speaking of the WR class - if Green-Beckham is there in the late second would you consider moving up to get him? If he's there for our pick in the 3rd would you take a chance on WR who seems to love weed and hasn't played in a year? At 6'6" 220 - he might be worth a third rounder.

Two others I am keeping my eye on in the middle rounds, Tony Lippett from Michigan State - does nothing great, but I think could be a very solid player. And Tre' McBride William & Mary - he could be a steal, but I think he is making some heads turn in the combine and shrine game.

I can't see them making another high investment on the OL. As boring as OL might sound to you, if this is the type of team they want to become, then continuing to build that unit is not a bad idea. We saw the difference between when this team could run the ball and give Hoyer play action passes and when they couldn't.

He's best suited for a 4-3 so I have no issue with him gone. I am as a big a fan as anyone with drafting pass rushers, but to me they are more important in a 4-3. Gregory is intriguing but look at his size - 6'6", 240". Remind you of any other OLB we recently drafted too high for this defense? Hint, he's 6'4" 240 and rhymes with Bingo. This team needs run stoppers. Do you remember when Melvin Gordon ran for a record with over 400 yards and 4 touchdowns last year? Yeah, Gregory was on the field: scores.espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=400547974

This WR draft is deep as well. I think there is a pretty clear drop off after about the top 3 or 4. But let's be honest, they fucked up big time not taking a WR in the 1st last year. That was the year to do it.

Everyone's assignment by Tuesday is to make their pick if the draft started this way:
1. Bucs - Jameis Winston 2. Titans - Leonard Williams 3. Jaguars - Dante Fowler Jr 4. Raiders - Kevin White 5. Redskins - Randy Gregory 6. Jets - Marcus Mariota 7. Bears - Vic Beasley 8. Falcons - Shane Ray 9. Giants - Danny Shelton 10. Rams - Amari Cooper 11. Vikings - Trae Waynes
You are now on the clock. Go.

I almost took DT Malcom Brown but I think either he or another DT will be there at 19 so I am going Devante Parker as well. They can't ignore the WR position any longer.

I'm fine with one of the top three wideouts or top four pass rushers at the 12 pick. At least one of those 7 should be there.

Yeah those were the names I had in mind. But now that I think about it I should have said top five, with Williams in the top spot.
5 pass rushers, 3 wideouts, 2 QBs. That's 10 of 12 spots. One will fall.

I trade out of 12 where you could probably get a good player so I can package that pick next year and get a bad player.
