I hope we at least get to watch a game 7.
I'm not very confident in our chances on Tuesday to be honest. We're going off of a short rest and travel again. And I don't think we will have a great home court advantage. That Cleveland culture of losing can suck the air out of the crowd the second we go down by a point. Terrified silence, waiting for that other shoe to fall.

I honestly think that's sometimes what keeps droughts alive. Players hear that sigh here we go again & look for something terrible to happen. Look at the Cubs. Once you get by it though? Bye bye. Look at the Red Sox. So legit concern. I still say we win.

I was 3 months old when this town won a championship and I'll be damned if I can remember a second of it.
Yeah the 80's were fun and 95 was it but fuck.

I guess my point in all of this Voodoo is why not stay positive rather than going the other route? What does going to bed thinking they are going to lose do vs thinking they are going to win? You really have no control. Go to bed thinking they will recover & get the next two. Seems to me you will go to bed a little less pissed. And wake up in better shape.
I don't know, I might have lost my mind but I just feel like it's the the better route. I see no reason we don't win Tueaday & Friday.
And I hope the crowd in Cleveland feels that way too.

What's more "Cleveland:" watching the Warriors get crowned on our floor in game 6, or losing a last second heartbreaker in game 7?

It's all about the D. We can't make up the difference offensively. We've got to find those points on the defensive end by not letting them get scored in the first place. First team to 85 will win.

It's also about the pace of the game. Let LeBron walk it down and set something up or take it to the hole. Tonight he gets the calls.
Can't let the Warriors dictate the game.

They're doing exactly what I said they shouldn't. They're playing GS's game.

This one's over already. Golden State will crack 100 easily at this pace.

Cavs are right there. It would be nice if they could start hitting some free throws. They count for points as well..
Time for LeBron to collect those fouls he's owed and time for someone on GS to foul out.

Cavs had their chance at the start of the third. They couldn't hang on.

I'm still positive. Ronald McFuckingDonald is going to fart happy gas into McCown & Johnny Idiot Face and all will end well.
Kind of like John Snow.

Gotta hand it to the Warriors, that small lineup was a checkmate idea. They never lost control once they went that way. Swept three in a row, two on our court. Win two of three on our court in the series. They earned it.
Good on the Cavs for fighting until the end.
12 years and counting since we picked lebron, and he's still delivered jack shit.

Average Cavs season since we drafted LeBron first overall in 2003: 42 wins, 40 losses. Most common season outcome is us missing the playoffs entirely (6 times). Second most common season outcome is us losing in the 2nd round (3 times).
You can say I'm nuts for holding LeBron accountable for what happened to us in years after The Decision, but I do.

For comparison, the average Cavs record over the 12 years BEFORE we drafted LeBron: 39 wins and 43 losses. Most common season outcome was missing the playoffs (6 times). Next most common outcome was losing in the first round (4 times).
My point? The Cavs just had their best season in franchise history - and that's ALL thanks to LeBron. 100%, can't deny it.
But when you're talking about his place in history, you can't pretend that by drafting him the Cavs became the 90's Bulls. Or even the Aught's Lakers. I have a hard time saying that a guy who has netted our franchise (thus far) +3 regular season wins and an extra playoff series per year quite deserves to be on that Jordan or Kobe level. He just hasn't had the hugely positive impact on our franchise that those guys had on theirs over the course of their careers.
One ring would change everything. But for now he remains a disappointment.
