Let's try some serious discussion.
Since 1999, I think we can all agree the Browns have been miserable more than not. With only 2 winning seasons to show for since the return we can probably find a lot more in common with each season's team than the opposite.
Something that seems to be there every year from coach to coach is the lack of halftime adjustments, and consistently being outplayed in the 2nd half.
Game one of 2010 was no exception. Up 14-3 late in the 1st half, Jake Delhomme makes a terrible decision, the Bucs pick it off, take it back, score a few plays later and go into the half only down 14-10.
Tampa didn't exactly light them up in the 2nd half but the Browns, whether it be the play calling or Jake's injury, do little on offense in the 2nd, the Bucs score late and the Browns are 0-1.
Is it lack of talent that causes these 2nd half melts or do we truly get out-coached every year at the half?

The only coach we had who could make half time adjustments was Butch. You are right on though. Last year we were in a lot of games at the half, hell didn't we lead the Vikings?

I also the ability to gameplan. We should have run the ball 30 times at least Sunday.

Tampa kept loading up their d-line on one side and we never adjusted to it. I mean, come on, put a te or something to that side

I don't know if you recall, but I've been saying for months now that I think KC could be this year's surprise team.
If we are 0-2 at 5:00 on Sunday? Yikes.

The only adjustment they really made killed the browns. I understand Hillis had 2 fumbles but he was the player doing the most damage to the Tampa defense. Mangini should of never stopped giving him the ball.
I'm in the minority, but I do think mangini is a good coach. Maybe sometimes his ego gets in the way of producing a winning effort.
I also think this team a lacking in depth, so it makes it harder for the team to make big adjustments.

I like Mangini too dizzle. I like the environment he is creating here. And we are starting to see some of the picks work out too - MoMass & Ward are both impressing me.
You are probably right on the talent, but Tampa isn't exactly loaded either.
Let's be honest, Jake doesn't make that horrible decision and Browns nation is a lot happier right now. I don't think we could have found a way to lose that one up 14-3 at half.
