Who doesn't like the movie Ted? People who didn't just smoke pot for the first time?

Who doesn't like the movie Ted? People who didn't just smoke pot for the first time? You still read comic books and play with action figures. Lets not start with the generalizations.

The 12+ indicates how many years you'll be stepping on little grey Lego blocks.

Star Wars is fun again!
Not a "great" movie, but after the prequels, just being fun is more than enough. I'd put it about on par with Jedi. It's either the third or fourth best film in the series.

I think the concept of prequels is fucking stupid, specifically in the case of Star Wars. A futuristic movie who gets cooler shit the further back in time you go. Flats, from a guy who pointed out little superman wearing a cap before the idea of superman was invented, how are you ok with this. The movies are ok but the technology always pisses me off. Why does the technology of the of this advance civilization go backwards?

The prequels are terrible. An abomination. Non-canonical as far as I'm concerned.
The new movie isn't a prequel. It's set 30 years after Jedi.

And Star Wars isn't set in the future. "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away..."

And, as I said, the prequels don't really even exist in my mind, but if they did and I was of a mind to defend them the party line is "the tech was better in the prequels because they're set in a more peaceful period of the universe that's been living under the Republic for thousands of years. The later films are set in a period that's been ravaged by decades of civil war, so things got a bit shitty." Just as Europe was far more advanced in the year 300 AD during the Roman Empire than it was in 800 AD in the middle of the dark ages.
But yeah, the prequels are bloody shit.

I could see this. I get that I just made Luke like 10 years older than Han, but Hamill got fucked up by that car accident and looked older than Ford in 5 and 6 anyway. So it turns out that Daniel Craig was indeed in the film. Though in a much smaller role.

Yeah, I'd probably put it #3 right now. Not sure if it's at the bottom of the "A" tier with Empire and ANH or the top of the "B" tier with RotJ and RotS.
Thing I thought was weird was that Han and Leia named their kid Ben when that was the name of Luke and Mara Jade's kid in EU. Muddies the waters for no reason. I still think Ben and Rey are loosely based off of the Jaina/Jacen characters

Well EU is all kaput now, so it doesn't matter. There was definitely some Thrawn in the Andy Serkis character, and Ben's arc is basically Jacen Solo's. Rey's lineage is up in the air, and she was simpatico with Han, so who knows - maybe she's Ben's long lost twin.
The idea of RotS being a "B" is fucking absurd. The "Lost in Space" remake with Joey is a better movie.

I think Rey is most likely another Solo/Organa child (I'm guessing one that Han didn't know about?) But she still could be Luke and Mara's. Someone had a theory that's why she was so much more powerful than Ben/Ren because Luke and Mara's kid would be pure force-sensitive where's Solo crap sperm would water down the midi-chlorians.
Evidently the Supreme Leader guy is like 1000 years old.

I decline to recognize the word "midi-chlorians."
Whoever Rey is, she's the best thing about the new movies. The actress did a wonderful job.

The new flick is abut twenty minutes too long, but the final battle scene makes up for it.
