So in our 10 team keeper league with college buddies, I finally released Turner and Forte, choosing to keep Jimmy Graham (7th rounder) and Julio Jones (5th rounder).
Start 3 WRs, 2 RBs
My lineup is as follows:
QB: Ryan, RG3
RB: Lawfirm, Doug Martin, Kendall Hunter (Gore will get hurt), Mark Ingram, Mikel LeShoure (my top sleeper this year), Rashad Jennings (will release when I find someone worth picking up), and Taiwan Jones (McFadden will get hurt and I like his name).
WR: Jones, Andre Johnson (whew to almost taking Jennings over him), Torrey Smith, Heyward-Bey, Rod Streater (he had a great preseason)
TE: Graham
DWT: Lions
K: Bironas
Raider heavy, not sure how that came about - but Streater will probably get dropped at some point, unless he keeps catching TDs.
I am 1-0 and was two points shy of scoring the most in the league (I had 146 next closest was 123)
Obviously the best part of this draft will be keeping Julio Jones and RG3 for the rest of the careers it looks like.
In our 12 team work league I hit a snag.
QB runs kept happening and leaving me without someone I felt appropriate to draft at that point, once Culter finally went off the board I decided to keep drafting RBs and WRs and that I would just pray for a QB.
1 RB, 1 RB/WR, 1 WR, 1 WR/TE, 1 TE
QB: Palmer (13th round - I noticed in his 9 starts last year, he averaged 299 yards, just threw a lot of picks and not a lot of TDs) Locker - I dropped Locker for Sanchez
RB: Martin, Lawfirm, LeShoure, Tate, Hunter
WR: Jones, Marshall, Decker, Washington, Titus Young, Kendall Wright
TE: Gronk
DWT: Lions
K: Bironas
Somehow I ended up heavy with the Titans here - although I dropped Locker for Sanchez, I think the light went on for Sanchez.
I was planning on running 1RB and 3WRs in this league, but Law Firm showed up for me and Decker did not, so I swapped them out for this week.
Sorry Browns fans, Law Firm vs us is a good play.
Alright talking to people about possibly getting Romo - it would probably be Romo + someone for Law Firm + Marshall - not sure I like that move, I hope Decker has a huge game this week and they either want him or I have confidence in him after this past week.
I am 1-0 in this league with a one point victory thanks to Palmer's 2pt conversion. This league TD passes are only worth 4 so I am not going to overpay to replace Palmer.
