You're sitting there enjoying a party or an evening at the bar and suddenly someone thinks it's a great idea to liven up the place and talk about politics. I get this annoying shit constantly, whenever I'm at a party or whatever and it comes up that I'm getting my masters in political science. All of a sudden they want to know my opinion on whatever the fuck Rush Limbaugh was talking about that day. I don't have one. That shit is entertainment. I can give you an opinion on whether Tobit or Probit models would be more appropriate statistical tools to use in a given econometric analysis. But if you ask my opinion on Obamas birth certificate you may as well ask an electrical engineer about licking 9 volt batteries. If it means anything, I don't want to know your opinion.

Actually you can tell if 9 volts batteries still have plenty of juice left by using your tongue.

So Flats and I both have (or will have) Masters degrees, yet Tommy thinks we live in a trailor park. Weird.

Hopefully you Bobbies are getting Masters in something that will make you a living versus the majority of people in school learning everything but.

I think it was in another thread when both Flats and I were both melting. Might've been someone else who said it.

I probably said you were melting but I don't think I said you lived in a trailer park. I black out sometimes though so hey I guess it's possible.

I believe he said you live in trailers, don't think he mentioned a park. That's one step up, probably because you have a master degree

I guess the phrase "on the rocks" originated from pouring scotch over some cold river stones.

FWIW I have a masters.
Secondly I believe it was Mevins that a) bragged about his livelihood, and then we google mapped his ISP location and found he lived in a shitty condo overlooking a drainage pond.

FWIW I never went to college. Spent 4 years after high school stoned and drunk then went in the Corps for 4 years. Got out and started working in sales from one thing to the next. I live a good life. Not richie rich but not struggling either. My wife has a Masters in literature (a lot of good that did her) and she is the purchasing manager for the same company that I am the national sales manager at. It helps when you sleep with the purchasing manager when you are in sales.

I'd say MOST Masters degrees are worthless now-a-days. A lot of kids graduate with a Bachelors anymore and think well why not just go get the Masters now? I'll tell you why, unless it's very specialized it does you a disservice anymore to be 24 or 25 and have a Masters Degree. Many companies see that and disqualify you right away.
Now if you went & got a Bachelors and your company pays you to go get one to become more specialized for a specific role? Hell yeah its worth it.
Honestly, right now I'd say a Bachelors = the old HS Diploma. And I think unless you are very specific in what you want to go into (lets say Accounting or Finance) then you are better off going to a technical school and learning a trade. That's what is going to come back to this country. Being able to work on HVAC is going to be more impressive than a Business Degree.

Oh wow, evidently I live in the Carl's Jr. parking lot. Can I get a Super Star w/cheese, Criss-cut fries and a Coke?

Yeah and for years it was probably said that, "well anyone can work on your air conditioner, or your leaky pipes," I am saying that is turning into "well anyone can go get a bachelors degree" This country has to go back to that attitude to succeed too. We need people willing to be the above and machinists and work the assembly line. And when that becomes more valuable again? That's when this country rebounds. Vote Tommy Dee.

Here in MS they are begging for them. Not a glamour job but depending on the market possibly a damn good paying one.

Bobby doesn't really have a masters. Sorry bobby, but printing out a certificate that says Master of Swag doesn't count.
