You want a Cavs forum, we'll give you a Cavs forum.
Although I don't think that team is going to generate much interest this year.
SirPaul - go ahead and create a forum called Cavs and Indians Forum. We'll pin those two together.
I wouldn't mind a college football forum too, but I guess we can just keep that here. Especially when we tie the draft into it.

Also check out the "bored board".
It has a baseball playoff thread, some MFK threads, some other hot bitch threads, and other stupid shit.

Thanks guys and hey don't get down on the cavs just yet, we are not a 60 win team but we still have some solid players who should be good enough to make it to the PO's. And let's not forget you have a team that in their minds are out to prove something after LBJ tore them down in the national news. And we all know playing for pride brings out star play in avg players.

I've always enjoyed your take on the cavs cawahoo. You and I alone can carry this forum.

PG: Mo Williams. Scott has always 3been known for having great point gaurds. While Mo isn't great he is a very good point gaurd who can thrive under Scott. While he was never a number one here, he was the top scoring option on a bad Milwalkee team, when Redd was out. Scott will get the best out of Mo, and convince him too push the ball move it around, take smart shots from the outside but look to penetrate more and get his total assist numbers up.
SG: Anthony Parker. WHile I really don't see how his role will be any different from what it was last year, fact is he's a veteran presence at one of the main positions we need help from. He's a an average defender who is solid in team defense and a year later he's only going to struggle more with guarding quicker 2 gaurds. His job on offense will be to space the floor move around and hit the open jumper.
SF: Antawn Jamison. While this will be the position that we all will argue about, I think it would benefit the team more if Jamison starts at the 3. The opposers would argue he's too slow on offense and defense, but If we play team ball on both ends of the floor on the offensive end I think he can cause matchup problems. You get him to slash and cut and the occasional post-up he has always been good at high percentage shots so you get him a few more looks as we have no other choice his scoring average can increase dramaticly. Also, I tihnk we saw first hand he can't do any worse gaurding SF's as he did on PF's.
PF: J.J. Hickson. J.J. is the key to this whole running offense and will thrive the most in this system. He's young can run a break and is getting stronger at finishing. Finishing has never been too much of a problem for J.J. on offense. It has always been his inconsistent jumper form 10-15 feet. If you've watched this summer he's worked all off-season on it and his face to the basket moves. He's got a super quick first step and his confidence has really grown this off-season. He still has defensive lapses where he's constantly out of position but I'm hoping as he's becoming a veteran on this team he will grow defensively.
C: Ryan Hollins. I know most saw him as maybe just a throw in for the weakest position on the team. Hollins strong points have been Defense. As the only true center we need an athletic center to run the floor and protect the paint. As it's been said he is a Tyson Chandler type who will beat other centers up the floor and hold his on on defense. Again I think he'll surprise people.
Back-ups
PG: Sessions will get the bulk of the minutes backing up Mo and playing along side of him. Probably coming in to give Parker a rest
SG: Daniel GIbson. Will come in for Mo and play the two guard rotation running the floor with sessions and hopefully causing match-up problems. Gibson was always better than BRown gave him credit for and will also be a strong contributor this season.
SF: Williams, Moon and Graham will all have to fight for minutes. I think Moon should be the first off the bench for athleticism and defense. WIlliams because he's a confident but streaky offensive threat. I think Graham might come in and bust his but and take minutes away from Williams.
PF: Leon Powe/ Samuels. I tihnk the cavs might have found a very solid gem in Samuels who to me is low risk high reward if he can come into the season into great shape in a running offense he can be a great player to feed inside on a young second team. Powe you pretty much know what you're going to get hard nose blue collar play which is what you need to set the tone in a game. The only thing I question is that last season he still looked hesitant on his knees.
C: ANderson Varejao. He's better coming off the bench for any team. WE will now get a good picture of how his offense is without a great passer feeding him on his cuts. All we need from Andy is hustle and defensive rebounding. We don't need him trying to be a dramatic play-maker on offense. Taking wild shots and forcing turnovers on offense. Again he's a hustle player so we will get the usual production we've always gotten with a slight drop on Offense
Christian Eyenga. I hope we don't see too much of him early on. He is still very very raw on offense. As the season progresses and if we're out of the hunt I won't mind seeing him get a few minutes to sharpen his outside shot.

I'm not expecting to see too much of Parker with Sessions and Mo and Gibson getting most of the minutes at guard. Varejao will also end up playing more minutes than Hollins, who is the type of guy Scott gets production out of. I don't disagree about Jamison at the 3, your best 5 is gonna be AV, Mo, Sessions, JJ, and Jamison...that leaves him playing the 3. I expect him to avg over 20 ppg.

there's no way in hell jamison averages over 20 or around that..hickson will lead this team in scoring. I have no faith in Mo

before Jamison got to CTown he was averaging 22 on a horrible Washinton team

jamison has aged too much in this half a season and the game has evolved..he only relies on his jump shot..and can't hit it consistently

Not true maj when you have a player like lbj your shot totals are going to go dow, that is what happened to twan.
Now we have a coach who enjoys spreading the ball and allowing all of his players to get their attempts, that is why I don't posts one the scout cavs board anymore. Being many of those guys are lbj fans and not fans of the game, when you try to explain what knowledge you have it goes on deaf ears.
Except for a few like pudding, young, and a few others.
We don't have a super star any longer but that is not a bad thing because we now have a team, and a team full of above avg talent..... And no more watching a ball being in and then 2 passes to lbj and then stand around, we are going to see smart, unselfish, team basketball and I for one am looking forward to it.

i'm just basing this off how jamison looked last season and this preseason..the man is done as far as being a 20 point plus player..I see around 14 points. Like you say we have a very effective team coach now. Before washington he was a good sixth man because they played team ball and he was effective. In washington Eddie jordan let him arenas butler and whoever else run the show on offense and was force fed a few easy buckets and created a few times. here it'll be closer towards his days in dallas with him coming off the bench to provide scoring..

This team has more talent than they are being given credit for. More importantly, they have more talent than any other team Scott has taken over. Jamison was never blended into the team last year. We never got him comfortable on the offensive end. I'm telling you, this team isn't as far away as people think. Oh and Sessions was made for this system, I expect him to open a lot of eyes.
