I need to earmark them. Good reason for early drinking.

Dolan's already lickin' his chops....."OOOOH BOY! Keep winning & we can trade ONE future star for 3 flunkies & a water boy. As long as the dumbass fans keep enabling my half assed behaviors, I'll keep rakin' in the dough!" I will not root for the Tribe again until...... 1) Shit head sells the Tribe (hopefully to Gilbert). 2) Bud Selig jumps off the New River bridge....SANS bungee cord! Mike

Mike I'm not saying Dolan is a great owner, but its the system thats broke not the team. 1. The Indians can't sign players like C.C. Sabathia unless they want 1 guy on their roster. 2. Cleveland is not a baseball town. They don't show up to support the team regardless of if they are winning. The perfect storm that was the mid 90s is not coming back.

1 they are winning because of alot of those trades. We can't go sign big name players so we have to rely on big trades to keep the talent younger. Just the facts of MLB. Cool thing about them winning esp. if they can keep it up is that Grady and Joe Smith still aren't with the team.

Exactly SP. A team in this size market has to play it this way. Build up a team, get your shot it, then trade away and try again a few years later. It's just the business.
The Indians had their shot in 2008. Since then they've had to deal away C.C., Lee, etc to get the players to position them for their next run at it. Hopefully that happens sooner than later.
BTW, who would have thought the player that brought in the biggest haul was Casey Blake. (Carlos Santana)
