Yeah, it's pretty bad when I wish Laporta did resemble Rob Deer.

I was thinking Branyon but Deer was worse.

Big challenge tonight going against Haren. Should be a good judge of how confident the lineup is now and how hungry Fausto is for his first W of the season. Even if they lose, I am interested to see how they bounce back tomorrow.

Even if they lose, I am interested to see how they bounce back tomorrow. Haren is damn tough, the streak might be in trouble. That said this team is playing very loose and confident (heard a Tony Sipp interview today, gave off good vibes on the atmosphere of the 'pen and the team as a whole). Like I said, this could be a very fun summer. The constant bitching about spending might be deafened by the winning. And hell, who wouldn't rather root on a young team instead of a bunch of old, overpaid faggots (see the Red Sox & Yankees). I'm trying not to get too excited though. It's very early. But 8 in a row is niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. BTW, Someone should try to get JR here now that Sig is gone. Apparently he's the only reason he never joined. We used to battle the idiots together talking Tribe.

We aren't going to win 160 straight so i'm not going to get to high or low this year. But I'm excited to see these guys going against the best and seeing how they react. Heard last night that Grady is probably only a week or so away.

Stands were still empty while that team rode right in. Even the following year when you would think people would be excited, nothing. At this point I wouldn't blame the Indians if they moved.

The Tribe won't be moving, but if this lockout continues and they keep winning you will start seeing a packed field. The year you are referring to the team was way back come June and went on a hot streak but also came a year after they fell apart at the end. The past few years this team has been all over the place and made it very hard for people to casually get into it.

Need two runs quick. Fasuto looks pretty good, still throwing mid 90's in the 8th inning.

Face it, Cleveland isn't a baseball town. It would take a string of consecutive winning seasons to get the ballyard packed again consistently. And that's just tough to do in this market.
In the meantime, I'll take a summer where we are in contention and 25,000 fans there.
Damn is Haren tough. Start a new streak tonight.

The key is for them to back up a loss with a win and keep winning every series as possible. I like this team so far and they don't have all their components. So far the pitching has shown to be as good as everyone hoped it would be.

I was worried about the bullpen minus Chris Perez more than anything.
Hopefully Sizemore can contribute when he get's back.
The one person that i had the most confidence in going into this season was Choo, and he is struggling a lot.

Yet they are 8-3. Choo will hit, we know that. As good as this start is, it appears it can get better. But can this pitching continue? That's obviously the big question.

That's the big question. We have the hitters if Grady comes back strong and Hafner doesn't fall apart. This team is so far every bit as good as I thought it could be. But like before the season I still worry about consistency.

losing a tough battle to Haren is nothing to be ashamed of.
how they bounce back tonight could be a good indicator of the team's testicular fortitude.

When a man says testicular fortitude, you have no choice but to listen.

I hope they can keep it up. The excitement about starting off strong is pretty cool. I like to have at least one non-sucky team a year.

What a start. They are looking good and still not up to full strength. Hopefully they can keep it up.

Sizemore is back today. Should be interesting to see how he fits in and how rusty he looks.
On a bad note, Talbot goes on the DL.

Bring on the Royals, who are off to a good start this year also.
I'm still not sure I like Sizemore leading off and Brantley getting moved to the bottom of the order. I would like it better if they moved him to the 3 and Choo to the 5 and everyone else down a slot. Brantley is the perfect lead off hitter, Sizemore K's too much.
