Another lottery pick is always good. The Clippers must've really wanted to get rid of Baron Davis.

Not a bad deal. Maybe the ping pongs will fall our way and we'll get #1 and #2.

They are killing the Cavs over at probasketballtalk.com. I still like the deal though. I guess if you look at the trade in a vacuum, getting rid of Baron Davis was the key motivation to the Clippers, but the Cavs held onto their trade exception and probably have a few more moves in store. Guess we'll see.

I don't know why they would kill the Cavs. Mo wasn't doing much for the team and wasn't in the future plans so him and Baron are pretty even trade on the court so the lottery pick basically just cost us Moon and money.

And Gilbert couldn't give 2 shits about money at this point.

Other than Davis' contract (and I don't think Gilbert's worried about money), it's a great deal for the Cavs. Even in a draft lacking in dominant, NBA ready super stars in the top end, Mo & Moon together aren't worth a #1 pick, so I think it's a good deal & we'll have 2 lottery picks. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised to see Davis gone by next season. I'm surprised we could get anyone to give us a #1 (ESPECIALLY a lottery pick) for anyone on the Cavs, The draft is the only way the Cavs will rebuild, so this is a decent start. Mike

They could always move the team.
