Not news. It just feels like they will probably go to the finals and come up short again. All the other top 5 teams got better.
The egg will be on Dan's face for rumblin bumblin stumblin at a critical time.
To quote Johnny Cash, "I hear the train a comin'; it's rollin' 'round the bend".

Well he said he was retiring here. And they have an easier path than those other teams. Get there & you never know (injuries, etc)
But I feel your frustration.

I can't make any predictions because I don't know what options he'll have. If there's a spot where he can go to a Superteam in the East, I think he'd go. If it's in the West? Much less likely.

It just feels like the perfect setup. Maybe not. I may be way off. Hell like I've said before, I'm not even that much of a BB fan.

Whatever he does, we're square now. He should do what's best for him and his family's happiness. I hope that involves staying in Cleveland, but if it doesn't, I still wish him the best and will always be grateful to him.

If he leaves Dan Gilbert realizes his franchise's value gets cut in half at minimum, correct? He knows this?

If the Dolans owned the Cavs do you think LeBron would've come back? Knowing the Dolans weren't going to spend? Hell, do you think the Dolans would've even considered paying LeBron?

Problem is, you know the answer but don't want to answer because it goes against everything you say about the Dolans and the Gilbert.

Problem is, you know the answer but don't want to answer because it goes against everything you say about the Dolans and the Gilbert. The Dolans have done nothing wrong in the sport they are in besides keep Mark Shapiro too long. You don't keep guys like CC & Lee in the market they are in. You trade them. Now, some of the trades they made were terrible. That's not on the owner though. They have spent when they felt the need too. And a few times Shapiro & Antonetti made some horrible decisions (see Swisher and Bourn). Antonetti's team was a much better drafter. And thus one reason the team is good again (just like Jacobs 90s teams were made - via draft mostly). They spent again this offseason on key acquisitions. Dolan didn't inherit the biggest name in sports since Michael Jordan like Gilbert did. And Lebron didn't come back to Cleveland because of Gilbert. Gilbert has maintained no stability since he bought the team. The only reason the team has won since he took over is Lebron. That's it. Does he spend? Yes. But look at that arena. Sold out every game. Look at the merchandise sales. Look at the value of the franchise since he bought it. Do the Dolans get any of that? No just bitchy fans whining for Dick Jacobs to come back (ignoring that Dick Jacobs was just another business man caught in the perfect storm of a new stadium, good young talent, no Browns, a shitty Cavs team and a booming economy.)

The Dolans would pay. They'd be making more money than they are making now. And Lebron would probably respect them more since they do create a stable environment. But it's two different leagues that have nothing to do with each other so it's an impossible question to truly answer.

The Dolans are cheap as fuck and would never pay to put the talent around LeBron, that's a fact. Therefore LeBron would have never came back, but by God we'd have a great fucking GM.

Well at least you went back to sounding like all dumbasses that call into sports talk again. THE DOLANS ARE CHEAP!!!
"The Dolans are cheap as fuck and would never pay to put the talent around LeBron, that's a fact".... the Indians were a hit away from winning the World Series last fall and added Edwin Encarnacion at $60 million and Boone Logan at almost $7 million. Good work.
Can't wait to see the Cavs spending spree when Dan's organization's value gets cut in half.

Kyrie is demanding the Cavs trade him. Per Windy.
