Fuck no. Let's just agree to disagree. Neither one of us was there so who really knows what happened... besides neighborhood cop guy. how about the witness that said they saw Zimmerman being beaten? Just underscores what a loser he is. A grown man is scared of a kid walking down the street minding his own business. He goes and picks a fight with the kid. When he starts losing the fight he pulls out a piece and kills the boy. Pathetic dickless bigot. |

I agree that Zimmerman is a pussy. He's a kid, how do you not knock him out in one punch? A kid that size, you could roundhouse and he'd actually leave the ground. Grab his feet, spin around three times and throw him. Pick him up and break his back like Bane did to Batman. There's so many ways to beat up a little kid and this guy shoots him. As I've said Zimmerman may very well be guilty. All I wanted was for a trial not a lynching. Let the legal system run it's course. It's not perfect but it's better than pitchforks and torches.

I admit to not following this very closely, I could really give a shit about one dumbass getting shot by another dumbass. But, was it a legal shooting IF Zimmerman really thought Martin had a gun? And I only think that is what happened. A young lady in the Milwaukee area killed herself yesterday after being bullied repeatedly, and the school ignored requests from her parents to intervene. To me THAT is an important story. As a parent I am fully aware of the bullying my daughter may encounter down the road and am really trying to prepare her as much as possible with verbal and physical skills. It's a shame that I have to, but it is a major issue among young women today. |

Is that the question you're talking about? I missed it before. I'm not a law student, but I don't see how there could be any law regarding whether or not someone "really thought" the other guy had a gun. How the hell can you know what someone "really thought?" You gonna just take his word for it?
Judge - "Did you think the unarmed kid actually had a gun?"
Zim - "Yeah."
Judge - "Reeeeaaally?"
Zim - "Yeah."
Judge - "Ok. Charges dismissed."
What would happen to the murder rate if this became an accepted legal defense?

I'm not sure whether Zimmerman thought Martin had a gun makes a difference. I'm not familiar with Florida law but in a lot of states if you feel your life is in danger it's enough to justify deadly force. Repeatedly getting my head smashed into concrete would have me feeling like my life was in danger.
Now how it got to that level will be key IMO.
