If forced, I would rather have the first option. However, if it involves spending a high first round pick and then some on that guy, I would go in a different direction.

So Mikey, lets say no trades are made and the first 3 picks go Luck, Kalil, Claiborne. Who are you taking?

No offense at all, but I honestly think you are going back to the days of the 80s and early 90s with your concern over the spread offense coming out of college. It is a passing league now. Look at offenses being run. Look at the sets a lot of these teams run. It's not that different than what you see in college or even high school now a days. You just didn't see the passing at those levels back then. And when you did it didn't translate to the pro game. I understand RGIII would be under center way more. But he is an accurate passer has the zip to get the ball out quick. And the size. Get Andre Ware out of your mind. (He was barely a 60% passer back then BTW).

I see Alex Smith with legs.

The league is too quarterback dependent now, IMO, and because of that it's even more important to do whatever it takes to end up in the No. 2 spot. Again, how many wins was Aaron Rodgers worth to the Packers this year? Peyton Manning to the Colts in 2010? M. Vick to the Eagles in 2010? No other position accounts for 5-9 wins per year like a top-level QB does. If you draft the top CB or WR at 4, they at best are producing 1-2 more wins per year. That's how I look at it .... that's why I would pay whatever the price is to move up. The only reason not to move up is if you think Flynn is the answer. And I don't have enough confidence to sign up for that position.

what if you don't think RG3 will be good? That's the other. I just don't agree with that position. I see NFL star all over RG3. As Peter King said the top two teams in this draft "are going to be very, very happy"

I'd like this draft if we signed Flynn, Garcon, and Hillis during FA. It would fill some major holes.
