Q1: Should I go to the draft in Dallas?
Q2: Should we trade 2 of our 3 second rounders to move up for another first rounder the late teen range?
Q3: Who should we draft?

Q1: Should I go to the draft in Dallas? Q2: Should we trade 2 of our 3 second rounders to move up for another first rounder the late teen range? Q3: Who should we draft? 1. I don’t personally think being at a draft would be all that but what do I know. 2. No. Deep draft. Sit & take guys. 3. Darnold & Barkley to start.

I thought there was no way they would draft Johnny so I'm not even going to try and guess who they take.

Former San Francisco 49ers general manager Scot McCloughan currently operates an independent scouting service that provides reports and information to team and agent clients. When talking about college prospects, he has generally kept his comments fairly general due to various confidentiality clauses.
McCloughan has said repeatedly that he thinks three quarterbacks will probably be drafted in the top ten of 2018 NFL Draft, and five or so could go in the first round as a whole. On Tuesday, he offered his most specific comments yet in discussing the quarterback class.
The radio host listed off a few of the notable names (Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen, Luke Falk), and then asked McCloughan directly, “You gotta pick one quarterback to lead your franchise, Scott, who’s it gonna be?”
Without missing a beat, McCloughan said Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield. McCloughan had this to say about Mayfield.
“He reminds me of a shorter version of Brett Favre. Tough guy. He can throw it. And he’s very confident, and he’s not afraid whatsoever, whatsoever. He’s a battler. I know saying Brett Favre’s a big name, and I was around him for a while, but this guy’s got talent. Every guy you mention has talent. I’ve already said I think three guys go in the top ten, I think five go in the first round.”
Right now, the Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers sit atop the draft order, the last two winless teams in the NFL. The Browns seem to still need a quarterback, while the 49ers have moved on to the stage of trying to figure out what C.J. Beathard brings to the table. We’ve got 10 weeks of 49ers football remaining to see if Beathard is going to be an answer, or if it will be time to make the heavy investment at the position.

It should be obvious, but just in case it isn't, that article was from October.
But yes it's worth noting he loves Baker. And said that before he would have had to have a filter on.
He is a terrifying pick IMO.

Mayfield in college was amazing. As with almost every quarterback in the draft will it translate to the NFL?

He is a terrifying pick IMO. Why is he terrifying in your opinion? Plays in the Arena League of College Football. Inflates all stats including completion %. Yes you can be short and successful. Bad that's not the norm. The norm is being 6'3" or taller to being great. A lot of the plays he makes on the run won't be available in the NFL. His personality might be a bit much for the locker room. Rub people the wrong way? He could be great. Or he could be...

From Terry Pluto's article yesterday.. 4. I found ESPN's Mel Kiper's final QB ratings before the 2014 draft. Here they are, in order: Johnny Manziel Blake Bortles Derek Carr Teddy Bridgewater Tom Savage McCarron Garoppolo 5. So for fans who say the Browns should just follow Kiper's ratings, it would not have been a good idea when looking for a quarterback in 2014. 6. Here is where those quarterbacks were drafted: Bortles (3), Manziel (22), Bridgewater (32), Carr (36), Garoppolo (62), Savage (135) and McCarron (164). 7. Not only did Kiper rate McCarron as the No. 6 quarterback in the 2014 draft, so did ESPN draft expert Todd McShay. www.cleveland.com/pluto/index.ssf/2018/02/cleveland_browns_how_good_is_a.html

McCarron was under drafted. He can make every throw & is a winner. Said it then & believe it now.

McCarron is terrible. The Bengals are DESPERATE for an upgrade, and never even considered handing him the job. A division rival asked “mind if we take this guy and play him against you twice a year?” And the Bengals replied “lol, please do!” Kizer is better.
