I agree with that, except replace “Pettine” with “Kyle Shanahan.” I don’t think Pettine had much impact on the offensive side of the ball. He let Kyle do his thing, which was the right thing to do.

If only Hoyer was thick skinned & stayed the course rather than looking behind his shoulder. Things might be different.
I still go back to the Mangini era though. If they would have stayed the course with him as HC with Heckert as GM & no Holmgren... I think things would have gone very well.
