The fags that i play with won't ever do a keeper league. Its been the same 10 dudes for 5 years. It pisses me off. Who's got an opening in a keeper league?

Just looking at yahoo's ADP rankings I have a few differences.
I agree with Antonio Brown #1, but then I'd probably go Gurley second instead of Odell or Julio Jones. I think having David Johnson ranked third and Adrian Peterson eighth is BONKERS.
In the end I don't worry about the top of the draft too much though. I've never won my league because of my first pick. Whenever I've won it's been because I struck gold with a guy in the 8th round or something. Top picks are usually pretty reliable and pretty much cancel each other out (unless you really whiff and take Trent Richardson top 5 or something). Later picks are where the teams start to separate themselves.

Why is David Johnson at 3 bonkers? The guy went ape shit late last year and is only going to get the ball more. I won't be surprised if this time next year he is the clear #1 pick.
You also might be looking at PPR where Peterson isn't as valued.

I use yahoo. I like their app. Have used NFL.com and CBS in the past, and didn't like them as much as yahoo.

We use Yahoo but its honestly because its a keeper league and we've used it for all 11 years so it keeps tabs on who won the titles and such. I don't really have a preference between it and ESPN. Most of the others aren't free.

You also might be looking at PPR where Peterson isn't as valued. Look at his stats - the man had ONE game over 100 yards rushing last season. That one huge game against Chip Kelly's defense accounts for almost all of his hype. I wouldn't say he went "ape shit," I'd say he had a stretch of a few good games to close out the year. But his good stretch wasn't nearly as good as the stretch that Devonte Freeman strung together for a month or so last season, but Freeman's stretch didn't come right at the end of the season so you can get him in the third round right now. Johnson stuck in people's minds because he came up big for their playoff runs, but the fact is he just didn't actually produce that much in 15 of his 16 games. Can he blow up? Sure, anyone can. But if it's my first round pick I'm spending it on the guy who's proven it. Besides AP I'd also take Bell (even with the suspension) and Charles over Johnson.

He didn't even start until December then he dropped 99 yards, 92, 187 and 5 TDs in 5 weeks. Plus he catches the ball - had a 88 yard receiving game.
Be careful with Freeman - Coleman might be better than him.

Tom, what is your rule structure for the keeper league?

Tom, what is your rule structure for the keeper league? We keep two guys. Can be any position. I pop them into the last 2 rounds before our draft starts. There are no restrictions. You can keep them their entire career or change who you keep each year. So in theory I could own Odell Beckham for the next 15 years if I wanted. The thought behind it is it creates an identity. When you think of certain players you think of certain teams. You can trade players and draft picks during the offseason. Once the season starts you cannot trade draft picks.

Not saying he doesn't have legit potential. But I'm not passing on AP for him. I'd rank him around Doug Martin I guess.
Latavius Murray is going six rounds later, and he's a guy with as much upside this year I think. Young bell cow in a good offense - similar player at a much better price imo.

Adrian Peterson has to get old at some point. Doesn't he?
Latavius drove me nuts last year. He showed flashes but for the most part only had a few good games. Didn't score that many touchdowns. But yes getting him in round 7 is a good value. I haven't really looked that deep yet.

I also had Lamar Miller last year. Talk about driving me nuts. The Dolphins had no idea how to use him. He could blow up with the Texans this year.

I don't trust that Texans offense given their QB situation. Not an Osweiler believer. I'll probably drop Hopkins a half dozen spots in my rankings over it.

Using Yahoo's ADP rankings, 1 top 10 player, 1 ~50, and 1 ~100. Pick your favorite trio:
Julio Jones, Jeremy Hill, Derek Carr
Adrian Peterson, Jeremy Maclin, Andy Dalton
Todd Gurley, Drew Brees, Kevin White
DeAndre Hopkins, Carson Palmer, Duke Johnson

Consolation bracket winner gets first pick. Then worst record goes 2nd all the way to Super Bowl Champ goes last. Yes still snake. Like I said those keepers just pop into the last two rounds. Its a normal draft besides 20 players being off the table.

I feel like there has to be something I like more and then I would take that trio. Otherwise the Hopkins/Palmer/Duke. Duke is going to catch a lot of balls in this offense. Maclin & Dalton? Fuck that.

When do you have to announce your keepers and when do you dump the rosters?
