Ian Rapoport @rapsheet 36m36 minutes ago Trade spot to watch: #Browns at No. 8. They've been having discussions with teams behind them who would want to come up for Ezekiel Elliott I am Ian's source. I'm not surprised by this, but a little surprised that the Browns aren't considering taking him. He would immensely help either Josh or Bob this year. Also the thing I am surprised we're not talking about more - if the Eagles do trade Bradford, which I think they will since after #2 they don't have a pick until the fourth - that puts Chase Daniels as their starting QB, on a not very good team, with a rookie HC that was on no other teams' radar. We have a good chance at having two top ten picks next year. Like I have said, I love Zeke but they've told us this is a long term build (not rebuild as we were never built). Probably 3 - 5 years. Do you really want a RB in the top 10 who is going to take a pounding for those years and then be on the downside of his career when they are ready? And RB is not in horrible shape with Duke and Crow. It's not great but it's not horrible. Are the Eagles willing to eat that $12 million guaranteed to trade Bradford? And how much would they even get for him? I heard he has made $1 million per touchdown pass in this league. Unreal.

yea $75M for 75TDs
They have the cap room, and it's not $12M - they've been talking here that it is less, something about when it is due.
I think they are going to be pretty desperate for picks and if he is going to be a whiney bitch about it, why bother having him in the lockeroom, especially one that's had some issues of late and has a new coach with no rep with current players? I think Denver may pony up their second for him.

So Miami moved from 8 to 13 in a trade and now are going to move from 13 to 8?
What exactly was the trade they made with Philly?

While we are unsure if they'll actually pick at 8 can we all agree that there's a very slim chance they pick at 32?

I still think Lynch is in play at 8 or possibly trading back a bit.
No sources but just a good old Butch Davis gut feeling they have Wentz and Lynch rated equally and when Philly came calling they couldn't refuse.

If you take anything a team says the day before the draft seriously you're a fool. Side bet? About what? Saying they're setting themselves to change the franchise can be spun with whoever they draft or wherever they trade back or up to. Butch Davis changed the franchise when he traded up to select Winslow.

No sane person is going to bet on what an NFL team is going to do on draft day.

Hey BttB, can you sum up that listen in 54 words? Fuck no. It was mind numbing actually. But it was VERY informative. Even though this method may not be the way that the Browns FO is thinking or evaluating players and strategies I'm pretty damn sure it's close. You can goof on me or listen and learn. Those who don't just miss out. I enjoyed it!

Done. I won't listen & won't learn. Pay up. That was directed at BttB. Maybe I'm just old school but I'd rather read an interview or transcript. I refuse to listen to podcasts. Just type the shit out and I may just read it. Get off my lawn.
