No doubt. Still worth a second or third round pick but he won't touch the field this season.

Jaylon Smith nerve damage will probably drop him. This is interesting - over the weekend Smith has publicly stated there is no nerve damage, but several teams have stated that he failed his physical with them because of it. So...if Smith does have nerve damage but is claiming he doesn't - that would be a BIG negative on top of the damage. Is it possible the teams saying he has it, are posturing to try to be able to nab him late in the first or second rounds?

I don't know if teams publically saying he has nerve damage when he doesn't would be posturing. It's not like every team can't have their DR's look too.
And I don't know enough about nerve damage but how is him saying he doesn't have nerve damage but he does horrible looking? Hell I probavly have some sort of nerve damage somewhere & don't know it either.
None of this should surprise us, his knee got blown up in January. He was just so highly rated I kept him in the 1st as did Dizz & about everyone.

Don't we already have a former top CB prospect with a blown out knee on our roster from the last draft? What's going on with that guy?

Don't we already have a former top CB prospect with a blown out knee on our roster from the last draft? What's going on with that guy? Don't poo poo this guy, he may be our only hope at DB. Browns' Ifo Ekpre-Olomu: Approaching '100' percent Ekpre-Olomu is approaching full health in his recovery from a torn ACL, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. In an Instagram post, Ekpre-Olomu clarified, "I'm not quite 100 [percent] yet but I'm close and in the next couple of weeks I'll show you some of the progress I've made." Ekpre-Olomu would have been a near certainty in the Top 50 of the 2015 NFL draft, but a torn ACL and dislocated knee bone suffered during an Oregon practice in Dec. of 2014 caused his stock to tumble. Instead, the Browns took a flyer on the cornerback in the seventh round, after which he continued his rehabilitation under the watch of a professional medical staff. While Ekpre-Olomu won't have a chance to show off his progress in public until the offseason program commences in April, he expects to take part in its entirety. www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/browns-ifo-ekpre-olomu-approaching-100-percent/

That was actually a really good pick by Farmer. Exactly what you should do with late picks. Gamble on troubled or injured talent instead of taking shit.

I was interested in this kid before the draft last year and can't wait to see if he makes a difference in Cleveland.

Great. #1,#4,#5 & #6. I feel so much better. (figures)
At times like this restraint and analytics must come into play though..
Wentz or bust.

All your stock is with a kid who lost two games this year. To Montana & South Dakota. Not saying it won't work out. But good luck. Might want to rethink the "or bust"

You hear that stat from Bruce Hooley? In his entire college career Carson Wentz played against just 2 players, TWO!, that were invited to the combine.

What the hell, let's make it interesting.
Besides, my "hunch" is basically the way I feel anyway.
Lots of time. 2 months to go.
Right now I like Wentz for the AFCN job.
I wonder who Hue likes right now..

Diz is stealing lines from my comprehensive QB draft preview post. Let's just let dizz do the copy thing this offseason. From my love of Goff to Hogan as his sleeper to him actually copy your lines. It's better than him pimping Landry Jones, Geno Smith or Johnny Football.

Let's just create a weekly "Hey Tommy" segment where he can ask for his opinions on things.

He was just so highly rated I kept him in the 1st as did Dizz & about everyone. I'm sure Smith has doctors, those docs are either telling him he does or does not have nerve damage. Nerve damage is not subjective, so he either does or doesn't. Team docs have said he has it, so either they're lying or Smith is lying saying he doesn't. Lying about an injury pre-draft, especially something cut and dry, cannot be good.
