Makes my trade ideas easier. That may work with the Browns but do you think teams with a real front office and GM would fall for a player who was a runner up in a fan favorite contest?

I don't. Haden was good and worthy of his draft slot but the past couple years he's lost a step or ten and is an injured piece of toast on the field.

He's still only 27. You put him into the Patriots system and I bet he'd bounce back to a legit CB.
Let's not get in the way of my Madden trades folks.

Joe Haden says he'll have surgery right after the season to repair both groin injuries.
Damn it Joe, think about my trades.
Or maybe that helps my trades. Tell them he was just playing hurt.

Haden finished the season ranked 95th! Good job, Joe! And will only cost the club $11 million in 2017!!

Greg Williams will shove Joe Haden out the door so quickly it will make his head spin. The days of coddling this group is over. Great hire.

Taylor = 19 Boddy-Calhoun = 77 Burley = Not enough snaps to be rated Williams = 80 (but, but, but he was on a SuperBowl team!!!) Haden = 96

Over/under on how many pre-season games our "lock-down" corner will play this year?
Vegas has it at 1
0 = his annual before camp soft-tissue injury because he doesn't start working out until 1-week before camp opens, or, he's cut (hopefully) 1 = he pulls a hamstring during the first series of the first game after giving up a big pass play 2 = he miraculously survives training camp, and limit play during games #1 and #2 3 = simply impossible.
BTW, my 3rd daughter had a one-off engagement with Jimmy Haslam. She teaches 4th-grade math in a prestigious Tennessee boy's school. Her room has a Browns banner and memorabilia all over it. When the Browns win she doesn't assign homework for the following Monday. She's promised if the Browns win the SuperBowl there will be no homework for the rest of the year.
One of her boys family is best friends of the Haslams and attend Browns games in his box. The boy's mother shared my daughter's homework policy with Jimmy and Dee, and when they got to the part about the SuperBowl Jimmy told the boy (who was with them), "Son, you better keep studying."
The parents have an open invitation to join the Haslams at any game -- and the father told my daughter "let me know if your parents want to join us -- it just takes a phone call."

If you meet that asshole tell him to hurry up and finish wringing the last penny he can out of the team, so he can sell it to someone who gives a shit about winning.

6. Joe Haden, CB, Cleveland Browns 2016 overall grade: 56.3 (87th among cornerbacks)
Once a truly dominant cover corner, Joe Haden’s play has declined since 2014, while injuries have nagged him from any sort of consistency. He allowed six touchdowns and a 97.7 QB rating in coverage. Struggling heavily on go routes, most of his big plays occurred when playing press on a receiver and not having the speed to recover once beaten. Something that used to be a strength earlier in his career, his tackling also was subpar; he missed nine tackles and ranked 103rd among CBs in tackling efficiency.
