Let's say these guys are off the board 1-11
Winston Mariotta Williams Shelton Fowler Beasley Ray White Gregory Cooper Dupree
Who do you take at 12?
Parker? Brown? Someone else?
Do you consider a trade down?

Same scenario as a month ago. I still go Parker but if they took Brown I would have no issue.
I'm not sure who someone would come up for in a trade. And since we already have a pick at 19, I just stick.

I might be ok with that because in that scenario no one at 12 is really a pick worth getting excited about. Having two picks in the second might let us grab the QB we want most with our pick and still get a solid player with the other. I just don't see a huge dropoff at positions of need/value between middle of the first and mid second.

I'm always for a trade down if it nets an extra first next year and your QB isn't on the board. Until that franchise QB is in the building, putting yourself in the best position to grab him has got to be your first priority.

I'm on board with it too, but it's gonna have to include some insurance of a trade and sign since he's a FA next year (which is why they may opt to move him - plus saying he won't go to LA). With that in mind, he has a little power and Tennessee looks like a likely destination. He reconnects with Wisenhunt and with their D, the Titans might be able to make a run for the rest of his career.

I would do it too if you are giving me a 2nd and a 1st next year but is anyone doing that for pick 12 this year? Its not a very sexy draft.

And how is Tennessee in any better shape than the Browns? You put Rivers on this team? Could be division champs.

Their D looks pretty damn good as well.

Someone might want to move up to get Gurley, one of the Ts, one of the CBs,

But if I am Rivers and had to choose between the Wisenhunt and the Titans (who also just got Lebeau) or the Browns and their history of being fucktards....I might lean toward the Titans

Just a rule of thumb: Guys with other options don't come here.

Just a rule of thumb: Guys with other options don't come here. Whitner, Dansby, Starks, Hartline, Tramon, Bowe. Not all pros at this point but not bums. You just have to pay them a little bit more. The only thing truly keeping this team back is the QB position. And being that its the most important position in sports its obviously a huge hole. If they ever got a legit QB the whole "we suck every year" mentality goes away.
