Whoop. Hit the edit instead of the quote button. Yep. They have one with a longer handle for 5 gallon buckets.

Just brewed up some "Patriots Pride" in the kitchen. First time using dry malt extract and hop pellets. Tasted it after my gravity reading. Oooh this should be good. I used the paint mixer for the first time and HOLY TORNADO OF LOVE!! Talk about aerating your wort! Worked like a charm. I pitched my yeast (@70 degrees), gave it a gentle stir and put the lid on. See ya in 3 weeks! (Actually 2 1/2)

Word on the street is Christmas ale is at giant eagles I ordered a case at my local booze stop today, going to order another one at a different place tomorrow, and the day after a different place just to hedge. The guy said "it's not out yet" I said "yes it is, November 1".

It doesn't hurt having a constant pipeline in your own home if you can stay on it. I'm trying to do one every 3 weeks now. (this is the second)(bottling 1 batch tomorrow) If I brew another one Thanksgiving weekend I'll have 2 batches bottled and 1 fermenting. On my way to keeping a constant flow.(after it conditions for a month or two) Since I'm only doing 2 gallon batches (about 22 bottles) it doesn't last as long as 5 gal batches but it also doesn't take as long to bottle. Thus why most people move to kegging.

I swore off Budweiser products years ago so I haven't had the "Black Crown". I do think it's funny seeing the big breweries dance like little girls trying to keep up with true craft breweries. The Leinenkugel Snowdrift Vanilla Porter sounds like something I would put in my cart. I had their Octoberfest and liked it a lot. It's a German style Märzen beer. www.germanbeerinstitute.com/M%E4rzen.html

You really think A-B is trying to keep up with true craft breweries? More like they slap a fancy label on one of their failed formulas so hipsters can stand at the bar and compare it to 40 other goofball beers they've reviewed on their vlog.
"Very hoppy, slight hint of chocolate and cherries." -- "It's beer. Shut up, and take off those glasses."

Well I'll let you know, my German BiL has a good beer palette generally. Drinking the Crown today when the game starts.

Yes I think A-B is following the money, and the money is in craft beer right now. That and cider apparently.

Christmas Ale is awesome this year by the way.
Some years I've tasted cinnamon. Some years ginger. This year it's honey. Even in the mouth-feel. So full. Almost thick.
(2 down) It's not just a beer, it will change your outlook on life. Go Browns! LOL

the money is in craft beer right now. If you say so. Look around the next time you walk down the beer isle. People aren't standing around staring at Budweiser bottles. They're trying to decide which craft brew they're taking home. I see it all the time at Giant Eagle.

Fixing chili cheese and onion hot dogs (w/casings) and bakery buns for the game. They will pair nicely with Christmas Ale. Hoopa!

I see it all the time at Giant Eagle. Because they're standing there wondering: "Which beer will make me seem like an interesting person?" People who drink Bud or Miller grab a 36 pack and take it to the counter.

Leinenkugel was one of them not long ago. Of course they're never going to be Bud Light, Bud Light is for when you drop the kid off at Tae Kwon Do and hit the bar. For home consumption I need the hard stuff or high alcohol content beer with some taste. I'll grab a case of Miller a few times a year just to appease to neighbors.
