I did a shit ton of yard work today. Lawn. Weeds. Edging. Trimmed some bushes. Killed some ants. Found a dead mouse & chipmunk. Also tried to kill some weird bug off a few off our shrubs. We had some friends over. I guess they went to bed. Weird. There is beer left, why would they go to bed? That is odd. Especially since you have the Rock Hall Induction Ceremony DVR'd from HBO tonight. Which is fucking fantastic I should add, Heart can still bring it.

What did the bug look like? I will get you the name but it's a little black bug that eats the shit out of some sort of plants here. Lady bugs actually kill them and they brought a ton in to help but I guess it didn't take in my yard. I also found an ant hill with red bodied ants. And, we have a shit ton of ticks. Trying to control them. I have now pulled 3 out of my daughter's head before she is 2. I have never had one. Ant hill with red bodied ants=fire ants. Good fucking luck. The south has been overtaken with them.

Spent 8 hours on the mower and tractor yesterday. Mowing and brush hogging. Blade broke on the brush hog. No clue when those were off last. One slip with my 24" crescent wrench and contact with my jaw......out comes the acetylene torch. Fucking bolts won't be me. Almost done mowing

Almost done mowing Grip your shaft with your left hand, pulling the lathered testes taut as you can. With the razor in your right hand shave away from your body. Best with a new blade.

So after working on this again today look at this little treat I found. Some of the rocks were breaking apart and inside were fossils galore. Cool huh? I mean, how old are these things?

When water was here? Before or after the Great Lakes were formed?

Since I know most of you were professional landscapers at one time or another.. I need some ideas/advice/opinions. (Actually I'm tired and need a beer and a break.) Anyway... Back of the house has a rock wall that is shifting, blocking access to the underhouse garage. (door swings out) I removed all the giant fucking rocks and loose dirt and vegetation this morning. My question is why the rocks in the first place? Decorative? Should I redo the rocks and vegetation or just plant grass on a sloping hill? Just amassing more opinions because the actual landscaper guy I had look at it doesn't have many cheap options. Brick wall, fancy stone ect.. Any input from you landscaping experts would be appreciated. Thanks! You could put a smoker in that under house garage ;-)

The good news is: I shoveled a few hundred pounds of dirt away, came up with a solution for the water run off and moved all the heavy ass rocks back into a wall again. The bad news is: I am going to be so stiff and sore I may need a wheel chair to get around with by tonight/tomorrow. It's high noon. BEER ME! Attachments:

I see that! I had a landscaper guy that was supposed to give me a few bids on different things.. Railroad ties, different types of brick and stone.. finally I just said you know what? Those rocks have been there without any cement for what?.. 60 years? I really have no idea. But I figured this way, if I fuck it up it's fixable. Not to mention free. ... and I didn't even have to hire any Mexicans. (Diz)

Got home from Colorado and the grass was a foot thick. Cut it yesterday and it was so long I had to dethatch and cut it again today. 2 days in a row I got rained out(heavy rains) on the mower and had to come back and finish it and now it's pouring rain again after I got it detached and mowed again today. I dethatched with a pull behind tine deal with no weight on it, works really well for stirrng things up in your lawn. Also using a lawn fertilizer company for the first time, I usually do it myself half-assed. It's like they put fucking steroids in my lawn and its been raining a really nice amount all year. The grass grew at least 1/2" since I cut it yesterday. Attachments:
