We use the Taco Bell seasoning and sauces when we have taco night at our house. Every once in a while I'll see a commercial and want to try something. People talking serious shit about Taco Bell have obviously never had Del Taco. Go there and you better hope they brush all of the maggots off the meat before they make your taco. I went to call them and complain and it prompted me to press "2" for English. Where's the little boom crash guy when you need him? When I was a teenager we had a Del Taco before we had a Taco Bell so I am familiar with both. Both are pretty nasty but always seemed pretty good when I was 16-25 or so and drunk or stoned. In Ohio or down South? I thought it was just a "states nearby Mexico" thing. Then again, the only two places I've been in the past seven years are California and Massachusetts and former has the exact same stuff we have here while the latter has nothing but Irish bars and Dunkin Donuts.

Never heard of Del Taco, but we don't eat fast food...

Roswell, GA. They closed probably within 5 years of Taco Bell opening IIRC.

That might be what kind of shells we use, I don't know. I mostly go into the kitchen for beer, leftovers and access to the garage.

I'm all for homemade stuff but taco mix? Seems to be taking things a little too far. And I like salt.

And as far as salt goes I like salt too, salt to taste though. Sometimes the ground beef has more natural salt and 1/2 tsp for a pound is enough. If not I just add it.
