Damn, I should get a fish tank. Haven't had one since about 2005. I like having them. Hate cleaning them. The bigger the tank the better. Small tanks are a pain the ass, big tanks tend to self-maintain more. After putting down the dog I'm looking at getting back into aquariums, been scanning Craigslist for a cheap setup. Used to breed Angelfish, took me two years to figure out how to hatch the eggs and raise the hatch-lings. Then I would sell them to the local pet store for credit to support the hobby. I think I'm going to modify a small pool filter to run it.

Well that and where your fish come from and the water they like, Amazon = acid, Africa = alkaline as a general rule.
I don't know anything about saltwater setups.

I have had African Cichlids for years. My buddy has a saltwater reef setup. Back when my angels were breeding I had a pair of brichari that were breeding under a fake castle. I guess they live in caves and they dug our their own home under that thing and the next thing I knew there were babies swimming around. They were extra protein for my angels.

My nephew has two 125 gallon tanks and one of them houses only three cichlids, things are big enough to eat.

I have been looking for alternative ways to make some money and was gonna build a frog farm on that prop had it gone through. They breed extremely quickly and I found out there isn't anyone in this immediate area providing fresh legs to the French restaurants.

Somebody caught a Tilapia out of the L.A. river (storm drain) and brought it to me years ago when it was the size of a 50 cent piece.
It was the only fish I had in the tank for 5 years and it got pretty big. She would eat right out of your hand and was like a pet.
When I moved to Vegas I gave it to a guy with a big pond.

Also couldn't believe how they'd attack other fish you'd try to introduce. Fish that they were supposed to get along with. They can be very aggressive & territorial. There are mainly 3 lakes in Africa where they get cichlids from & sometimes they don't play together. You also have south American cichlids like angel fish & oscars among others.

I love frog legs, the only ones I can find in the stores around here are frozen from some country in Asia. My daughter had it in her head a few years back that she wanted to try them so I found some and did a breaded deep fry on them just to not turn her off to them, it worked she still requests them from time to time.

I think most frog legs that are consumed come from overseas, no? I've never seen USA frog legs. Only had them once about a hundred years ago, my memory tells me they were awesome but we were camping on a spot we canoed to and happened upon some big ones. Fresh roasted over a fire. Turds probably would have tasted good that night.

They are popular in the South. Typically the French use a different breed, the name escapes me now, much smaller. But more than capable of being breed here.
