Anybody watching any of these shows they're throwing at us during football?
Revolution on NBC. Interesting premise, a lot of sword fighting. I get that swords are handy when the power is out and guns are outlawed, but this is like Three Musketeers swordy, and not great story-y so I'm okay switching it off.
Vegas. Hey, why is Vic Mackey dressed up in a pinstripe suit? He and Corrine doing a murder mystery dinner? Oh look, there's Dennis Quaid being a cowboy in front of a digital Nugget. Woot? Lots of local references. People that watched CSI for 20 years get all of those, I'm sure. Perfect show for CBS.
The Mob Doctor. Seems like more doctor show than mob show. I hate fucking doctor shows. How I watched House for two seasons is stunning to me. I like William Forsythe. Let me know next season if it works out and I'll think about it again.
Last Resort. Bing! Pow! Boom! Shawn Ryan thinks big and hits big. Rogue nuke sub against the United States, apparently. Andre Braugher rules. Episode 2 tomorrow night. Most definitely recommended.

I have been watching Revolution. So much potential, too much over the top drama. Pretty bad acting but I have not given up on it yet.
Haven't seen Vegas.
I caught the 1st episode of Last Resort a couple weeks ago when they ran it on hulu. Looks pretty good.

I watched this. Was excited but it ended up being a little bit corny. I hope episode 2 gets better or it'll be out of the rotation.

Not nearly enough time to evaluate. Gotta give a show a full season, no matter how many balls it drops. Besides, what are the better options?

Pretty much everyone knew she would be after a couple episodes.

anxiously awaiting new episodes of Fast N' Loud - best show on TV.
Oh and booo to SNL for not doing whatever it took to bring Abby Elliot back. Bigger loss than Wiig.

The acting and writing in Revolution are so bad I removed it already and Vegas sucks bad. Dennis Quaid sucks along with the rest of his retarded family. I will check out Last Resort now that I have a couple free spots on the DVR list.
Dexter, Homeland, Boardwalk Empire, Hell on Wheels, Sons of Anarchy, are my favorites that are recording now. Shameless and House of Lies starting again in January are both great.

The New Normal on NBC is pretty funny. Is this how you turned out? A Hollywood finocchio that watches "The New Normal"?

I watched this. Was excited but it ended up being a little bit corny. I hope episode 2 gets better or it'll be out of the rotation. I didn't think the dialogue was so bad. Network TV is generally written at about a 6th grade level so that's somewhat to be expected. You want to hear chez dialogue? Check out Vegas. I can't believe Nicholas Pileggi put his name on that. Fuck, go write Goodfellas 2 or something. My thing with this show, and I like where it's going, but it's probably only going to last a season. Maybe like 13 + 6 like they did with the new "V". Fucking ABC likes to trot out these big shows and then when it's all said and done they look at the budget and see the numbers for "Wipeout" are almost as good for 1/10th the cost so they cancel them. Also, Shawn Ryan writing for Network is a waste. That was clearly evident with Chicago Code. Shawn Ryan writes about hand grenades in your soup, burning faces on electric stoves, having rats eat women from the inside. It's like having Kurt Sutter write "Parenthood". If this doesn't work out, he's going to end up going to HBO or Showtime.

Sons of anarchy -- so far better than last year Walking Dead -- has to better than last year American Horror Story-- Can't wait for this bitch to start Sons is off to a good start. Agree that it was a bit of a lull last season. After seeing Agent Stahl, Reverend Plague from Deadwood wasn't all that scary. Looking forward to seeing what unravels first, the IRA, the CIA/Cartel faction or the arrangement with Pope. Lighting up lil' Tig Spawn was a nice intro to his character, but I'm not sold he's the right actor for this. Seems forced, time will tell. I agree with you and others, there was kind of a Sophomore Slump for Walking Dead. 13 episodes was a tough ask for that story arc. There were weeks that I enjoyed Talking Dead more than the actual show. I like they're going to an 8/8 format this season. Looks like they should have enough material this time around. AHS I agreed to watch because my chick loves horror and I never watch horror shit with her because it's fucking lame like 99.99% of the time. I liked it though, it kept me pretty entertained the whole time. I'll admit they got me with daughter is dead. I picked it up a little before, but only when they started dropping clues. I think it's cool they're rebooting the whole thing, I didn't like Connie Britton and Dylan McFuckface anyway. All I ask is please bring back the slutty maid.
