Just wanted to get some opinions on this kid. (If only we had a poster who watched AZ State!)
Physically, he looks the part. Big tall guy that can move around, good arm. Appears to be confident, well spoken. From what I remember of the Las Vegas Bowl and whatever I could find on Youtube, the first word that comes to mind is raw. He seems like he's got a pretty good deep arm but at times it can really get away from him. Not always a perfect spiral and occasionally overthrows or one-hops his target. He also seemed like he had one read and then would dump it into the flat if his primary wasn't wide open. He also seems too eager to tuck it and run.
Where do you think this guy goes in the draft? He looks like he's one or two years away from being NFL ready, but could have a real high ceiling.

I can honestly say I don't think I've seen him play. But your descriptions makes him sound like DA, Frye, BQ & Colt all wrapped into one.

PFW has him as a Round 2-3 pick. The following is from their draft guide.
Upside:
-Commanding, vocal on field presence -Gravitating leader -Makes all the throws, can uncork it deep with accuracy -Can slide and move around in the pocket -Diligent worker
Downside:
-Only one-year starter -Too tall and leggy -Arm action is not clean - long delivery -Raw footwork, timing and anticipation -Too easily short-circuited by pressure -Not quick-triggered
The way we see it:
Though still very raw and years away from prime time. Osweiler has rare size, surprising movement skill and plenty of arm strength to be groomed in a downfield passing attack. Can be drafted considerably higher than he grades on tape because of his upside.

Yep, raw is a good word for him. He is a project who will have to sit for a couple years. He'll probably go in the late 2nd to mid 3rd to a good team that can let him watch and learn.

I can say after watching the first video I pray the Browns don't draft anyone from that USC defensive squad.

Watch the USC film. AZ State runs the same screen play 400 times. DA never had that kind of touch. Also, this kid doesn't strike me as some fucking P.N. rube.

I read an article on him and it talked about his height being a negative. I guess qb's over 6'6" have a huge amount of passes knocked down at the line. Something about their release point being so high that they actually throw down to the target rather then the ball having a natural arc.
Can't find it now, this was months ago. Actually mentioned Bernie and how his side arm was beneficial. Come to think of it, I think it was a sport science thing on espn.

As a kid, my favorite baseball player was Jose Canseco. I spazzed when I got a Mint Donruss Rated Rookie card for Christmas one year. It was worth $55 at the time. Don't tell me what it's worth now. Means way more how happy I was that morning.

I was working nights in a cheap motel off the highway once when Jose Canseco rolled in. This would have been maybe 12 years ago, so his playing days were done. He was in his room for about 30 minutes before he called down and said he needed a new room bc he broke his toilet. I went up to see if it was just an easy fix. He had somehow split it in two. A big ass crack in the porcelain, right down the middle of the bowl.

That only cements his position.
My favorite was him and Ozzie dressed up as Twin Draculas beating people up on L.V.B., I actually have like a 6-8 pager based on that.

I read scouts in PFW saying he has some of the best raw tools of all the QBs in the class but he's also not close to game-ready. Apparently, he's given high marks for arm strength, leadership and he has enough mobility to be dangerous even at 6-7. He'd be a good 3rd round target, imo, along with Cousins and perhaps Foles. Holmgren has a track record of developing QBs so it would be wise to keep pumping in QB talent in the pipeline.

I saw him play a few times early last year. I liked him, but then completely forgot about him until now. I also liked Chandler Harnish.
