Flats, is it offical that the TPE was extended? It has to be, but what can they really get out of it? I think they will just get a bad expiring contract, and a future draft pick. That would allow a team to essentially amnesty two players.

The TPE has not been officially extended, but there have been indications in some articles that the Cavs can expect an extension. The value of the TPE is diminished by the new amnesty clause, but there might be a deal to be made with a team like the Magic. They've got big financial commitments to both Gilbert Arenas and Hedo Turkoglu. They might like the idea of being able to dump both those guys by amnestying Arenas and giving us Turk and a pick. But that depends on whether Gilbert is willing to swallow Turk's huuuuge contract for another pick. He basically payed the Clippers, what, like $13M for their pick last year? This kind of a deal would easily cost double that, and I'm not sure if Dan's that nuts. The odds of something like this happening aren't good. Just throwing out possible scenarios.
ETA - that old Rip Hamilton deal with Detroit is probably going to come up again at some point as well.

Are they gonna start Baron & Kyrie together if they keep Davis? I think that is likely. Irving at the point, Davis at SG. I don't know if that will be the starting lineup, but it will be a look the Cavs will use often. Scott used two small guards at the same time last season. He's not like Mike Brown, who gave Sasha Pavlovic a career by demanding that his 2 guard be 6'7".

NBA lockout over?...."Frankly Scarlett, I don't give a damn!" What Patty & his punks down in Miami pulled BEGGED to be investigated, yet David Noballs refused to do so. What little integrity may have been left in the NBA was lost with that fiasco. At least Cuban's team won it all last year. Mike

I think I'd rather see the Steelers win another Super Bowl before I see that prick Lebron win a title.
There, I said it.

Though I should really start charging you assholes for this. Don't ask me to give money for the server. I'm paying like 200 a year to keep those Miami/Yinzer fucks off the parade.
